Description

The flat is a lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat that was completely refurbished when bought.
The room is £1,150 per month including bills. It is a double bedroom with new built-in wardrobes. Big windows with lots of light.

The bathroom will be shared with other tenant as I have my own en-suite. The kitchen has all the mod-cons including dishwasher and washing machine / dryer. The building has a large sunny communal garden which is great for sunbathing during the summer months as it is always quiet. The room aren’t isnt big enough to fit a desk in but there is one in the lounge for you to use if you work from home. The ideal tenant would only wfh 2 days a week max so that it doesn’t get too crowded in there (I tend to do 2 days and the other housemate does 1 day).

The rooms come with all bills included: water, gas, electric, internet and a fabulous cleaner who comes every Friday.

The flat is located on Kings Avenue which is just on the border of Clapham and Brixton. There is a Sainsburys Local and anytime fitness gym about 200m from the flat. Abbeville Village is conveniently close with great coffee shops, brunch spots, pubs, restaurants etc.

Clapham Common is a 10-15min walk or the 137 and 417 buses stop just outside and come every 3 minutes. To walk to Brixton tube station takes about 20mins or the 355 stops just outside and runs every 10-15mins.

The room is only available to people in their 30’s, no couples and no pets.

About me, I am a live-in landlord aged 34, female, English. I completely refurbished the flat when I bought it in 2014 and it’s been repainted since. I work in construction as a project manager, I tend to do a couple of days working from home in the week but the rest of the time I am in the office. I love going out for dinner and drinks with friends, on long walks, reading and cosy nights in front of the tv. I’ve got a cat called Willow who is very friendly, though more likely to be trying to get you to play with her rather than snuggling up on your lap.

The other housemate is also 34 and English with dreams of moving to Paris that she’s hoping to realise next year. She works in HR for a big media company.

The ideal roommate would be someone who treats the house as a home rather than just another room rental in London. Although we are out quite a lot in the week, when we are home we love love watching tv / films in the evening, sharing a glass of wine and catching up on each others gossip. I have stayed in contact with previous housemates and we still meet up regularly for dinner, drinks theatre (I’ve even been bridesmaids at 2 previous flatmates weddings!).
