Description
Hi everyone, our housemate Matt is moving in with his partner so we're looking for a new housemate to take his double room. You'll be living in a lovely flat in a great location which comes with two very chill and considerate housemates (myself and Jack).
Current Flatmates
- Jack, 31, works for a fintech/e-commerce start-up and likes running, rugby, and cooking
- Rashaad, 34, works for a strategy consulting firm and likes F1, exploring restaurants, and theatre too.
- We're pretty easy to live with - not neat freaks but not messy either; friendly and easy going too.
- We occasionally have friends over for dinner; we maintain a quiet and peaceful household.
- We are ideally looking for another young(ish) professional who is sociable and friendly, but also largely independent and considerate of our shared space with respect to tidiness and noise.
The Flat
- The overall property is a 3 bed, 2 bathroom flat with a modern and open kitchen / living room area
- The flat is located on a quiet road, just two minutes from Clapham High Street (but far enough to be insulated from the noise),
- Numerous restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and supermarkets within < 5 minutes walk away
- Clapham Common park is 7 mins walk away with various sporting activities and summer greens.
- Transport wise; Clapham North (Northern Line) is about 5-6mins walk away and Clapham High Street (Overground) just 2-3 minutes
- The landlord is both very relaxed and helpful; very responsive if anything needs a fix
The Room
- The room gets plenty of light and has a large radiator to keep it warm
- It comes furnished with a double bed, desk, chair (though you might want to upgrade this if you regularly work from home), large built-in wardrobe and drawers, as well as a cubical storage thinga-ma-bob (see photos)
- You'll be sharing the main bathroom with only Jack; Rashaad has an en-suite upstairs
Bill come to about ~£160 per person per month in the winters (~£120 in summers) and includes:
- Weekly visit from a cleaner who does all the common areas (kitchen, stairs, hallways), both bathrooms and all the floors including the bedrooms (can avoid your room if you'd like).
- Internet: 5G home broadband with 200-300 Mbps (ample for the three of us)
- Utilities (gas & electricity)
- Council tax
- TV licence
