Description

I have a very large double bedroom that is bright, airy and fully furnished to rent. As well as a super-king-size bed, there is plenty of storage space in the custom built wardrobes and chests of drawers. There is also room to easily add your own desk (possibly 2) or other furniture if desired. This is obviously important today when so many people work from home.

About the flat:

It's situated in a secure, gated complex on Wandsworth Road and has a dedicated outdoor parking space. The road is well lit and quite safe for coming home late. There is a convenient 24 hour garage with mini-supermarket on the opposite side of the road. We tend to use this a lot for daily essentials and those cheeky after hours drinks. Conveniently, it also has an ATM.

You will share a large kitchen with dining table, washer/dryer, dishwasher, full-height fridge all the usual kitchen appliances as well as a separate drinks/wine fridge.

The living room is large and spacious with solid walnut floors leading to a balcony that is south facing - ideal for breakfast al fresco and barbecues.

The living room also has a home cinema with 60" plasma screen, Sky TV with all the channels, Blu-ray player, Sony Playstation, Nintendo Wii, Apple TV, Chromecast and a 5.1 surround sound system. This is fantastic for chilling at home while watching movies with pizza and a glass of wine and equally as good for inviting friends round to watch sports. You can watch all this from various positions in the room on a 7 seater l-shaped suede sofa - awesome for relaxing and getting through the Sunday hangovers.

I have a cleaner who comes once a week for 3 hours. His primary task is to keep the communal areas clean but he usually has time to change all your bed linen, your towels and also clean and tidy your room and the shower room.

The transport links to The Docklands, The West End and The City are also excellent. There is also a convenient Santander cycle point 200m away.

The local facilities in Clapham are very good too. It is a vibrant area with lots of bars, restaurants, clubs and some shops. The nearby Common is ideal for exercising and in the summer there are a lot of events including nationally advertised concerts. There are several gyms in the area with various facilities but the nearest is the Virgin Active with pool, sauna and steam rooms which is a 5 minute walk away.

All bills are included in the rent (council tax, all utilities, Sky TV and fibre broadband, TV license, cleaner)

About the flatmates:

Ken is a consultant for a private bank in The City and is there one weekend every 6 to 8 weeks as he is working on a project in Switzerland although this has been less frequent during these Covid-19-times. Fabio and Dora are a young, professional and social couple who are permanently there.
