Description
Hello :) my name is Gloria, my current flatmate is going back to NZ so I am looking for someone to replace her!
About the flat:
This beautiful flat is on a quiet road, 5 mins walk from Northcote Road with all its lovely shops and restaurants. It is equidistant from Clapham South tube and Clapham Junction, so there are great transport links. It is under 10 mins walk to both Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common, with Tooting Common also within walking/cycling distance.
The flat has a big and bright living room, a good sized kitchen, and lovely little garden. Cleaning is shared between both flatmates, tidying up as we go and taking it in turn each week to clean, keeping the flat nice for both of us.
The flat comes almost as unfurnished (aside from the sofas & coffee table in the living room). The shared spaces (including all the kitchen utensils and living room furnitures) belong to me and can be shared. I am looking for someone who will be respectful of my stuff. But future flatmate is welcome to add their personality to the flat obviously:)
The room is big and spacious, overlooking trees and the garden. The large wardrobe comes with the room. The leaving flatmate can leave you the bed frame, mattress and large bookcase for free if you would like them. As my flatmate is leaving the UK she is also willing to sell other bits and bobs for cheap.
The mattress (new - less than one year old), the chest of drawers and bedside table can be purchased from the current flatmate for a very reasonable price.
The rent is £900 a month, and the deposit (which the landlords will put in the government scheme for protection) is £900 which is required to secure the room.
Bills are approximately between £150 - £180 a month each, but could go up or down according to the season depending on the price of gas & electricity this winter.
We have really lovely landlords who are very helpful and responsive if ever we need anything in the house. Unfortunately pets are not allowed. No smoking or drugs in the flat. Not suitable for couples. This is not a party house.
The flat is located on the second floor of a beautiful Victorian house (the available room is also upstairs, which means you will have a little privacy with a floor for yourself).
About your flatmate:
I am 33 (soon 34), I work in the charity sector and work mainly from the office at the moment. I am a nice sociable person, but I am also very considerate and respectful of other’s personal space and chilled time. I love running, yoga, hiking, travelling, spending time with friends, reading and all art. I also love cooking and baking especially when I can share ❤️
I love this flat very much and I like to keep it nice and clean. Since I moved here, I started also looking after the garden with my current flatmate which I find very relaxing!
What I am looking for in a flatmate:
Someone who is nice, clean and respectful of me, the flat and our neighbours and wants this to be their home. We all have busy lives, but it would be nice to find a flatmate who is up to have chat, share a meal or watch a movie together occasionally!
I would also like to find someone who has a similar chilled lifestyle, wants to live harmoniously, and is not looking for a crazy party house as this isn’t that kind of place. It’s a wholesome, comfy and quiet place. Please tell me a bit about yourself when you reach out. I am looking forward to meeting you! :)
