Description
Hello! We’re looking to replace our housemate Grace who is starting the next chapter of her life and moving to Australia! We need someone for our bright and friendly Broomwood Road flat for the remainder of the tenancy and beyond (minimum EOM June 2025).
ABOUT YOUR FUTURE HOUSEMATES 🏡
• We’re a mix of young professionals between 27-30yo.
• Alex works in politics, Dan in software design, and Ella in diplomacy.
• We’re a sociable house that are friends, not just housemates.
• Our flat is great for hosting, be it board-game nights, cocktail parties and the occasional night out; but we’re past the age of getting drunk in the week and annoying the neighbours!
• We tend to spend weeknights catching-up on each other’s lives, watching Netflix or grabbing a post-work drink if we’re organised.
• Whilst we don’t cook for each other, we do split communal items via Splitwise, and share kitchen appliances, crockery, etc.
• We’re a clean and tidy house and maintain a good relationship with the landlord.
ABOUT THE ROOM ☀️
• £1050pm (+~£75pm for bills inc. broadband); paid on 9th. (Council tax band E)
• Available 27-28 September, though flexible up to a week after.
• Top-floor double, on the cosy side but doesn’t share walls and is right by a bathroom, shared with only one other.
• Unfurnished aside from the wardrobe, and Grace is looking to sell her bed and mattress (see photos).
• Top floor flat of Clapham townhouse on Broomwood Road.
• Contract ends in July, though we are likely to consider renewing in some form.
• You’ll need to pay a ~£1155 deposit, pass an agency credit reference and pay any relevant agency fees.
• There’s a secure bike shed in the front garden.
• Located between Clapham South and Northcote Road (10 minutes each way).
ABOUT YOU! 👋🏼
• You’ll be happy to see through the rest of the tenancy to EOM June, at least.
• You enjoy sharing housemates’ company, making friendships and generally making the place lovely to live in.
• You’re sociable, but not a party animal. We’re in our late 20s; fun is more pub quiz than clubbing on a weeknight!
• You are prepared to join the housemates for Clapham parkrun, which is 2 minutes from our door!
• You are prepared to eat Alex's banana breads (not a necessity).
