Description
Spacious double-bedroom for rent in big house in Clapham available 30 November
My housemate is sadly leaving London soon, so we’re looking for someone to move in to our lovely spacious house in the Clapham North area
Location
<5 minutes walk from Clapham North Underground, ~5 minutes walk to Clapham High Street and big Sainsburys, ~10 minutes walk to Clapham Common, ~25 minutes walk to Brockwell Park.
Important details
Rent: £1150 pcm
Deposit: £1326
Bills: Approx £120-180 pcm (inc. council tax, gas and electricity, wifi)
Furnished flat
We have a contract with KFH with a break clause end of August 2025
The house
The house is split across 2 floors and has 3 double bedrooms and a small home office that I currently use whenever I WFH (varies). Your choice – you could take over a spacious bedroom on the 1st floor with a double bed, ample storage space, and a desk/office chair work from home set-up, or the bedroom on the ground floor that we currently keep as a guest room. Ground floor also includes a large common lounge, a recently remodelled bathroom, a private backyard patio with a brick BBQ, and a large open-plan kitchen and dining area. The house is equipped with a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a brand new oven. The house comes with a TV (Sonali's) in the living room. Local pharmacy and GP are across the road. The house is a safe space for POC and LGBTQIA+ folk (no bigotry allowed here!) :)
Your housemate
Hi! I'm Sonali, a Lecturer at a London university and an author. I do a mix of working from office and WFH. I enjoy all sorts of artsy-fartsy things (books, TV, films, music, concerts, theatre, stand-up comedy, art galleries & museums), travelling, hosting cute get-togethers now and again, cooking, plants and nature. I'm tidy and prefer open, mature, empathetic communication with housemates. I also respect personal space and time (and cherish my own). My housemate has been wonderful; I've really enjoyed the close friendship we've developed. Hoping for a housemate who's lovely and open to being friends to explore London and all the fun things it's got to offer :)
