Double Room Available Clapham South

Hello!

We find ourselves in search of a new housemate and are looking for a young professional to move into our 6 bedroom shared house in Clapham. The room is available as early as Saturday 7th Dec as our current housemate is moving out of the area (references and paperwork pending), the new tenant will need to take over by Wednesday 18th Dec latest.

+++THE HOUSE+++
A three-storey, fully-furnished, terraced house on a quiet street in Clapham South (if anyone asks we live in Balham). We’ve got lots of lovely outdoor space in our garden, which perhaps won’t see as much use in December…

The living room has plenty of space and a TV. We’re never stumbling over one another in the kitchen or either of the bathrooms (both have a bath & shower) as there’s more than enough space for all 6 of us.

The location is great - we’re 2 mins from the Common, 5 mins from Clapham South Station and a big Tesco. We’re also 10-15 mins walk from Clapham Common Station (with lots of pubs and more shops) and Balham.

Much like the whole house, the shared areas are super spacious and come with everything you’d expect (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, gas hob, etc). There’s a basement for storage, which keeps the house clear of clutter. There’s annual parking permits available for the street too.

+++THE ROOM+++

The available room is on the ground floor next to the living room and kitchen. It’s a good size double with double doors (which can be deadlocked) that open out onto the back garden patio area which is a really nice feature in the summer. We’re all very respectful and keep reasonable schedules in the week so you won’t have to worry about anyone keeping you up being on the ground floor. The room comes fully furnished with a double bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Rent for this room is £783 and deposit is £905 - this will need to be paid in full to secure the room

+++BILLS+++
Bills work out at around £120 - though cheaper in summer. Once every six weeks, we take turns paying for the cleaner, who visits weekly (£54). We also have a private landlord who's very responsive and takes good care of the house.

Jade: works in retail, loves a night in or a trip to the pub - between us we make up a very low scoring pub quiz team…

Matt: works in finance, he’s a Scottish/Australian hybrid that will only make sense once you meet him

Saffron: works from home in marketing, wellness girlie who keeps it wholesome most the time

Tom: great in the kitchen, may as well be training for bake off - we’d tell you more but his occupation is classified information

Jessica: our newest housemate is moving in this weekend, more news as we get it!

We’re hoping to fill the room with a non-smoking, professional between 28 and 33

We’re looking for someone to really be a part of the house. We have our own busy schedules, but we like to hang out with each other. We’re also a clean house, so are looking for a tidy person as well.
