Hi!

We have a double room in our spacious split-level first floor flat, part of a Victorian house on a peaceful road in Clapham (£1200/month plus bills). The room is available from the 20th December.

The shared kitchen and living spaces are a fantastic size. There's a big living room with a giant comfy sofa and a fireplace, a separate kitchen (with a dishwasher, and two large fridge freezers), and two separate shower rooms and a separate toilet - so there are no queues for the bathroom in the morning! Everything is spread across two floors.

The room in particular is quite special. It’s cavernous, with so much storage space, and floor space for - currently - two sets of drawers, a desk, an armchair, a (very underused) weights bench, with loads of space to spare. There’s two big skylights, really good clearance, vibey exposed brick walls and views down to the power station.

House is shared with 3 friendly housemates (1 guy, 2 girls - Ollie, Kristy, & Dani) who are all professionals in their late twenties. We all met via Spareroom but are now proper pals and enjoy spending time together when we can, watching Netflix, going to the pub, monthly meals etc! We are looking for a chilled housemate who is clean and considerate. Also looking for a male to keep the balance. We want someone who is friendly and keen to join us in activities but also has a good existing network in London.

Bills:
Bills are currently £150 a month (though this may change with energy prices) and include TV & Broadband, Council Tax, utilities, and a cleaner every fortnight. There's usually a bit left over which we put towards buying communal supplies for the flat (toilet roll, cleaning products, etc).



Transport:
Northern Line: 10 minute walk to Clapham North and Clapham Common tubes, and about 15 mins from the new Nine Elms station.
Victoria Line: 20 minute walk to Stockwell or 15 minute bus ride to Vauxhall.
London Overground: less than 5 minutes to Wandsworth Road. (In a rush, less than 3 minutes - it’s basically at the bottom of the street). This section of the line connects directly with Clapham Junction, Peckham, Canada Water and Shoreditch.
There are also direct buses to Waterloo and the Strand every 10 minutes.


Local Area:
We’re in a great spot, on a quiet residential street but a short walk away from everything you’d need. Most of the supermarkets, bars, pubs and coffee shops are on Clapham High Street or Clapham Old Town, which are about 5 mins walk away, but there are also corner shops and a gym around the corner, and a giant Sainsbury’s just along Wandsworth Road.

For green space, Clapham Common is a 10 minute walk away and is vast, perfect for a run or a picnic. Battersea Park and the Thames Pathway are about a mile away in the other direction.

Our private landlord Paul is brilliant and is super receptive to any flat improvement ideas - if we ever have any problems he gets them fixed straight away.
