Lovely double room in upstairs flat with garden

About the flat:

This beautiful flat is on a quiet road, 5 mins walk from Northcote Road with all its lovely shops and restaurants. It is equidistant from Clapham South tube and Clapham Junction, so there are great transport links. It is under 10 mins walk to both Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common, with Tooting Common also within walking/cycling distance.

The flat has a big and bright living room, a good sized kitchen, and lovely little garden. Cleaning is shared between both flatmates, tidying up as we go and taking it in turn each week to clean, keeping the flat nice for both of us.

The room is a good size and comes unfurnished. However, the current flatmate is happy to sell the bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table at a reasonable price.

The rent is £850 a month, and the deposit (which the landlords will put in the government scheme for protection) is £850 which is required to secure the room.

Bills are approximately £150 a month each, but could go up or down according to the season depending on the price of gas & electricity this winter.

We have really lovely landlords who are very helpful and responsive if ever we need anything in the house. No pets. No smoking or drugs in the flat. Not suitable for couples. This is not a party house.

Hi, I’m Flora (33) teacher. I enjoy quiet evenings in the week, playing tennis, going to the gym, cooking something tasty and watching a good series. At the weekends I’m catching up with friends and spending time with family. I’ve lived in the area for the last 6 years and have loved being in this flat for the last year.

What I am looking for in a flatmate:

Someone who is nice, clean and respectful of me, the flat and our neighbours and want this to be their home. We all have busy lives, but it would be nice to find a flatmate who is up to share a meal or watch a movie together sometimes! :)

I would also like to find someone who has a similar lifestyle, wants to live harmoniously, and that is not looking for a crazy party house as this isn’t that kind of place. Please tell me a bit about yourself when you reach out. I am looking forward to meeting you!
