Description
This is a huge room (see pictures and Bedroom 1 in the floor plan) in a well-located house a 5min walk from Clapham South station. It has really nice bay windows (and it's south facing so very sunny!) and lots of space for a desk and anything else you might need. It's furnished excluding the desk and the bedside table and lamp. It's a pretty quiet street considering it's 200m from the common, so a perfect balance. We have a nice garden too where we've done barbecues, paellas and we host people for house parties from time to time. Walking distance from Balham town, Clapham high street, the common and the very close-by Abbeville village. Lots of sports nearby (tennis, basketball, rugby, football) in the common and many options for food and drink. Our biggest shopping option is the nearby large Tesco's.
I am gutted to leave this room and house which has been my home for over two years, but I am now moving in with my partner. This is a very good property, which we moved into 2 years ago after 3 months of very picky active searching. The house itself is very spacious and bright, though as most old houses in the UK, it does get cold in the winter and warm in the summer. We are looking for someone to not just take over the room, but also be a good fit with the existing housemates as we all get along well. The three existing housemates remain:
Laura (age 23) is from Valencia, Spain, and works fully remotely as an analyst, she's usually at home reading, cooking or baking, but enjoys a good night out too and loves her gym classes. She's been in the house 1.5 years. She's recently got into D&D too!
Dani (26) is from the Canary islands, Spain, and works 4 days a week in the office in marketing. He is sociable and enjoys being outdoors, playing tennis and cooking. He recently came back from 7 months in SE Asia. He's been in the house over 2y. He also makes a great paella!
Eva (28) is a friend from uni who just joined the flat in April. She works in the city as an analyst 3 days a week. She's usually out and about in the week seeing friends, doing dinners, gym, etc. She's into music, going to gigs and also a good night in (board games like Catan, dinners with the house, etc.).
Important details:
-The move in date is flexible, it can be any either a small window in end of may/early june, or any time between July 5th and end of August, as I am travelling in June. We can discuss this directly.
- This is the biggest room in the house and the most expensive, rent is £1300 per month.
- Bills not included but are usually around £165, including a bi-weekly cleaner for all common areas.
- Deposit is to be taken over by you and is £1298
- No pets, Laura is allergic :/
- The preference is for a guy to come in to balance the house (2 and 2), but open to girls.
