Bright Double Room in Clapham 🌷 12 Mins to Tube!

my current flatmate is moving out, so I’m looking for a lovely new flatmate to take over her double room from 16 october / 1 november 🫶🏼 ideally looking for another working girl around my age who wants a home that feels cosy, clean and friendly, rather than just somewhere to sleep!

1) the room 🛏️

it’s a bright double room on the ground floor of the flat, with a good amount of storage, a wardrobe with full-length mirrors and a big south-facing window, so you get really lovely natural light throughout the day ☀️

2) the flat 🏡

the flat is split across two floors and feels really spacious and bright. on the ground floor there’s your bedroom, a small toilet (which would basically be yours), the kitchen and the living/dining room.

the living room is one of my favourite parts of the flat! comfy sofas, tv, dining table, big windows, lots of natural light and a little balcony 🌷 perfect for movie nights, dinners or just hanging out.

the kitchen has loads of storage, a big fridge/freezer, oven, washing machine etc. there’s no tumble dryer, but upstairs we have a separate area for hanging/drying clothes.

upstairs is my bedroom, the main bathroom with shower + toilet, the drying area and one additional storage space.

the flat is on the 3rd floor of the estate building and there’s no lift, so something to bear in mind! but personally I think the light and views make the stairs worth it haha :)

3) the area 📍

we’re in clapham, around a 12-minute walk from clapham south station (or 15 mins if you’re having a leisurely little walk), so you’re in zone 2 and can get into central london in roughly 20–25 mins.

we’re also right by abbeville road, which is honestly such a cute area! independent cafés, restaurants, pubs, little shops, hair/nail places, groceries etc.

clapham common is about a 10-minute walk, and clapham high street is around 5 mins on the bus or 15–20 mins walking, so you’re close to all the bars/restaurants/nightlife without actually having to live right in the middle of it.

4) a little about me 💌

I’m 25 and have been living in london for around four years. I work as a communications/PR consultant in central london and usually go into the office 2–3 days a week, then WFH the rest.

I’d ideally love to live with another woman working professional, roughly mid/late 20s (but definitely still message if you’re a little older!). I’d love someone I can actually be friends with too! grabbing coffee, going out at the weekend, cooking together sometimes, watching films in the living room etc. 🍸 but I also really value having my own space and downtime.

5) one important thing

I’m very clean and would really like to live with someone who is the same. we normally do a proper shared clean at the weekend - vacuuming, mopping, surfaces, kitchen, bathrooms/toilets etc. - so I’m looking for someone who’s happy to genuinely split that responsibility and keep communal spaces nice day-to-day.

6) rent + move-in

rent is £1,038 pcm, with bills separate. altogether it usually comes to around £1,180 per month, and I can give you the full breakdown of the fixed bills etc. there will also be a separate deposit, which can be sorted with my current flatmate.

ideally looking for someone to move in around 16 october, but 1 november can also work, so happy to discuss dates.
