Description
Looking for somebody to move in for a month or two. During this time you will have the flat to yourself for c.6 weeks while I use up some holiday.
The flat is in a great location, overlooking Clapham Common – over the road from the Windmill pub, but set back from the main road a little. The bedroom window looks out onto the common. It’s a five minute walk to either Clapham Common or Clapham South tube stations (Northern Line, zone 2), so ideal for a commute in to Central London or the City:
—15mins to Bank
—16mins to Waterloo
—20mins to Oxford Circus
—27mins to Canary Wharf
I recently refit the kitchen and bathroom so it’s all modern, and I like to keep it clean and tidy. The whole flat is furnished and doesn't require any additional furniture/kitchen accessories etc. There is gym equipment in the sitting room which you can use with care for the downstairs neighbours.
The room itself contains a very comfy king-size Ottoman bed with under-mattress storage, a built-in double wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, bookcase and a desk, chair and TV on the wall (the TV is old, you can put your own up on the existing brackets if you like).
If you have a bike then there is private, locked storage available where I have kept mine for the past 13 years. There is also potential for off-road parking (in view of CCTV) by way of a private permit, if you have a car.
You will be sharing the flat with me… I’m a friendly 39 year old English guy working in M&A.
I’m easy-going and sociable. I take pride in the place so like to keep it tidy, and have a fortnightly cleaner and get stuff done when needed. I tend to work from home two days a week (normally including Fridays) and tend to work long hours.
I am looking for a non-smoking, sociable flatmate. Someone who’s enjoyable to live and socialise with but will take care of the place and respect eachother.
My preference is to rent it to an individual, but of course I appreciate you might have an other half that might stay a night or two a week. Couples an option too, but for a higher rent.
Pets (especially cats) welcome, as long as they’re kept clean and not smelly.
The rent is £1,900 per month (£2,500 for a couple), with bills included, covering:
• Council Tax
• Gas & Electricity
• TV Licence
• Broadband
• Water
• Cleaner every 2 weeks,
• Cleaning supplies.
The contract will be through to say mid-Jan. As you would expect, a 5 week deposit will be required, which will be maintained in a separate account.
