Description
Hi, I’m Gemma, 29, and I’ve been living here for around 15 months. My current flatmate is moving out at the start of September, so I’m looking for someone who’d like to take his room and continue renting this lovely flat with me!
The flat is a fourth floor two bedroom flat on Clapham High Street, with a separate living room and dining area, a separate office, and a huge private rooftop balcony (private to this flat, not the building!). The rent for the room is £1,300 per month, and bills are currently around £150 per month. It's in Council Tax Band D.
I work as a Technical Business Analyst, and usually work in the office in Waterloo Tuesday–Thursday, and from home on Mondays and Fridays. Outside work I enjoy the gym, spending time with friends trying new restaurants, bars and activities that London has to offer, festivals, and travelling.
I’m hoping to find someone who’s friendly, considerate, fairly tidy and generally easy-going. It’d be great to live with someone who’s happy to spend time in the shared spaces, have a proper catch-up after work, watch a series together, occasionally share a meal or drink, make the most of the balcony when the weather’s nice, or head out every now and then to try somewhere new in London. We’ll obviously both have our own friends and plans, but it’d be lovely to enjoy living together when we’re both at home, rather than it just feeling like somewhere to sleep. I also enjoy having friends over from time to time, whether that’s for dinner, drinks or making the most of the balcony in the summer, and I’d love for you to feel equally comfortable having your friends over too.
The flat is in a brilliant location on Clapham High Street, around a two-minute walk from Clapham Common station. Despite being so central, it’s on the fourth floor, and the balcony is on the opposite side from the High Street, so it’s surprisingly peaceful and gets the sun right until the end of the day (later than most places nearby thanks to the open view). There’s also a spacious living room with a separate dining area, and a top-floor office with the same amazing views as the balcony. The kitchen and bedroom are more compact, but having a separate living room, dining area, office and rooftop balcony makes the flat feel much more spacious than you’d expect. I also love being able to keep work separate from my bedroom.
If you’re interested or have any questions, please get in touch!
