Description
Beautiful Victorian house in Upper Clapton - with a long garden and sauna. We split the house in two living quarters 5 years ago. We are a unique set up.
Our family occupies most of downstairs and our lodger lives upstairs. They occupy a large attic bedroom plus a lovely large light living room/kitchen and walk in shower room next to bedroom. The bedroom and kitchen/living room is private to our lodger - but the shower is used by Joe and our guests when we have them.
The room for rent is an attic space, its is very quirky.
(but does have some lowish ceilings) with 3 sky lights. There is a desk, chest of draws, a double mattress, and a chill out space.
Our Family - Joe ( promoter/musician ) and Clemmie (Human rights campaigner) and two children - 10.5 year old girl Tarka Rose and a 6 yr old boy occupy the first 3 floors.
It is a friendly, warm but at times noisy household, but we are generally quiet in the evenings.
Our new lodger needs to be kid friendly and tolerant of the noises that come with two kids and busy family life.
The noisy times are generally 7-9am and 5- 8pm. So would suits someone with a 9-5.
It is never assumed that you need to 'look after' or entertain our kids. But they have always created strong bonds with our lodgers and its great it you like kids and are comfortable with family life.
The house is a home, everything is loved and cared for. We are looking for someone who is happy to live with a family, mature, independent and discreet. There is a desk the bedroom, a desk in the living room as well as a large kitchen table. So lots of lovely places to work from.
We are looking forsome who works out of the house.
There is no official contract but there is an Agreement that we all adhere too. We are happy to rent short term. We require minimum 1 months notice, ideally 2 months if possible and we will provide the same. There is no deposit but we require the room to be left in the same condition that it was in when you moved in.
We have a very friendly cat called Banjo and a slighlty energetic dog.
We try to be as eco friendly as possible.
Rent: £850 Includes: Rent / All Bills/ Council Tax
Internet is £10 extra a month.
