Description
Hello hello - I've got a room available in two bed flat in Clapton - overlooking Millfields Park next to the river. Looking to rent the room for 6 months to start with to see how it goes, with option to continue if we’re both happy! Also would consider a 3 month let if someone was looking for short term. Available mid November but am flexible on move in date really once my current flatmate moves out on 17th as am looking for the right person more than the right time
Nearest station is Clapton - 10 mins walk away, and trains are 10 mins to Liverpool Street (via Hackney Downs, Bethnal Green etc) or 5 mins to Walthamstow to jump on Victoria line. Can be in Central London - Tottenham Court Road/Oxford st in 30-40 mins door to door.
Chatsworth Road is 10 mins walk away too, plus just next to Dalston, Stoke Newington and Hackney Central for night life etc. The building is right next to Hackney and Walthamstow marshes so amazing and diverse green space. Lea Valley Ice Centre and Gym is 4-5 mins walk over the park too.
The room's a double - the photos show the furniture my last flatmate had in it. You can comfortably fit double bed, side table, wardrobe and shelves with walking room and round the corner - its an L-shape - fit a desk and chair or more shelves etc. I have a bed and mattress you can use if needed but there's no other furniture that automatically comes with it.
It doesn't have an en-suite (mine does and i pay more for that) BUT that mean the main bathroom is all yours! I've literally never used it and am totally fine for it just to be for whoever takes the room
Shared space is an open plan lounge and kitchen, have Sky, netflix, Disney, amazon prime and all that. Dishwasher too. Really nice views. Aside from that maybe ask me as i can't think what else to describe! Flat does have a balcony BUT it is off my bedroom not lounge, Annoying design. As far as I'm concerned its for both of us though!
Important note - i have a cat. What can you say about a cat? he's 10, friendly and black?! So you'd need to be cool with having him around.
Me, i work as a film publicist, lived in hackney for last 10 years or so. Obviously into film, goes with the job, tv and theatre also, pretty into photography too as much as possible in my spare time. Am gay just in case that matters one way or the other! I try and make most of the pubs and places to eat round here.
In terms of what i'm 'looking for'. Some similar interests would be good, as would be cool to hang out in the flat together comfortably! If you like the look of the place then get in contact and tell me a bit about yourself and come over for a chat!
