Lovely small double room available in queer home!

Hello!

We have a small, light-filled room available to sublet in Lower Clapton. We’re looking for a new flatmate to sublet my room for 3 months with two lovely queer flatmates in a spacious, cosy home from the 25th of November to the 1st of March (flexible on the dates). All the details below:

Rent + bills (pcm): £700.00 + £150 bills per month

Accessibility info:  
* No lift access to the property.
* The entrance to the property is direct from the street via an uneven patio, no intercom. There is one step up to the front door.
* The sitting room and kitchen are on the ground floor with no steps connecting these rooms.
* There are 14 steps up to the first floor, with the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom. There are no steps between these rooms.
* One step down from the kitchen into the back garden.

About the home: The room is small but cosy with lots of natural light and an internal cupboard for clothes (but the house itself has extra storage). I would sublet the room with my desk, shelf and mattress (however, I’m flexible with this). The house itself has a big social living room with a projector, shared books, and a big kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower.

Location: We are super well located right by lots of pubs and food spots as well as lots of green areas - Millfields Park, hackney Marshes, and the canal are all a 5-minute walk from our home. The closest stations are Clapton and Homerton.

About us:  You’d take over my room while I go away - you’d be living with my gorgeous flatmates Lou 28 (they/them) and Lucas (he/ him), both queer and in their late twenties/ early thirties. Lou works in performance and theatre and Lucas in fashion (both work from the office full time). We are a close household and spend evenings hanging out, cooking meals together, watching films on our projector. We also really respect each other’s personal space and boundaries and welcome open communication about different people’s needs in the home! We like to keep the home cosy and clean and have a monthly housing meeting to keep on top of housing stuff/ cleaning.

About you: We’re looking for someone open & kind, clean & tidy, over 25 years old, who wants to be part of a home rather than just a house. It's not essential that you're queer but you have to be LGBTQ and trans friendly and no terfs.
