Cozy Double room in Clapton, £684/m

Hi there! We’re looking for a new flatmate for our lovely 3-bed duplex flat overlooking the River Lea/Marshes by Millfields Park. 10 mins from Clapton station, 20 mins from the Castle cinema on Chatsworth Road, and 10 mins from the excellent Anchor and Hope pub.

Big living room and open kitchen, plus we’re very lucky to have an amazing riverside balcony and garden, which is brilliant in summer. (If you like gardening - ace!)
The room gets great morning light, but because it’s not the biggest, it might not suit someone who works from home full time. It comes furnished with a bed and good sized wardrobe and likely the desk too.

We’re both in our early thirties; Callie has recently started a PhD on an obscure poet and is into live music, art, various literary-related pursuits, with a weakness for (increasingly overpriced) coffees & pastries.

Pouya works in art publishing at a gallery and is starting his own literary publication. He’s into buying books (but not necessarily reading them), finding mid-century furniture steals, cooking and free gym trials.

We’re both pretty easy going, it’s a relaxed feeling place with no drama, which is important to us. Someone who is keen to maintain tidy communal spaces and pitch in with cleaning would be great too and we generally strive for a nice chill energy in the house.

We’re looking for a flatmate we’d really get on with and enjoy occasionally hanging out with, who is on a similar wavelength and wants to make the flat a home too. We’re both quite busy but enjoy chats in the living room, the occasional excursion etc.

We’re hoping to find someone quite quickly, with a planned move-in date of approx 16th December. With this in mind, we’re looking at doing viewings mainly this Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th.

Bills roughly £130-40/m (but may fluctuate)
Agency will do the usual checks and charges a £50 admin fee.
