Description

We're looking for a new flatmate to join us in our home in Clapton, right next to Millfields Park. We're about a 10 minute walk from Clapton Station and Homerton and Hackney Central are about 15 minutes away. There's loads of great pubs and restaurants around, green space aplenty and Chatsworth Road is just behind us.

We've got a lovely big kitchen, which gets the sun all day long and is our main communal space and we've also got a wee living room/study space, affectionately known as the Baby Room.
We're also lucky to have an amazing south-facing garden which is great in summer, and there's no fence between us and our neighbours (who are super friendly!) so it's even bigger and better. Our lovely flatmate that is leaving us, is also leaving us an outside gym he built in the garden, so if lifting weights and jumping rope is your bag, you're in luck.

The room is the biggest in the house and faces onto the street with views over the park, but it's a very quiet street and the room gets lovely sunsets. It comes unfurnished, but there are built-in shelves which will be staying. There's also a massive loft which we store everything we don't need frequent access to.

About us:

Alexandra just moved to London and is embracing all that is has to offer. She loves strolling along Chatsworth Road for a coffee and pastry, running in the Marshes and catching a life drawing class nearby.

Nompsy has truly settled into London life, having moved down from Scotland a wee while ago. She's into trying new recipes, hot girl walks along the canal and constantly adding books to her ever-growing TBR pile.

We’re both architects, and are easy going and want the house to maintain a relaxed vibe around the house. It's important for us to find someone on a similar wavelength, who is also happy to maintain all the communal areas in between cleans. We're a veggie/vegan household and it would be a plus if you are, too!

About you:

We’re (obviously) looking for a flatmate we’d really get on with, and even though we can both get pretty busy, we'd love someone sound who wants to hang out occasionally, as we enjoy chatting around the kitchen table of an evening. Ideally our new flatmate won't work from home 5 days a week, but there would be space in your room for a desk for days you do.

We're pretty flexible on a moving in date - it's more important to find someone we reckon is a good fit. Ideally we'll fill the room this side of the winter break.

We have a lovely cleaner who comes twice a month. Internet is included in the rent, other bills are roughly £110. We don't have a parking permit, but can easily get day permits from the Council.

Things don't break very often, but when they do our landlord is really on it with fixing anything that needs doing.

We live on the first floor of the house, and there's unfortunately no disabled access. LGBTQ+ friendly, but sadly no pets.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
