Double Room in beautiful 4-bedroom Hackney House

We have a lovely room about to become available in our three-storey Victorian terrace in Lower Clapton. The room is available June 8th.

This is a very spacious house with a light-filled living room, dining room, conservatory (with washer and dryer), large kitchen, two bathrooms (one with a gorgeous free-standing tub) and a back garden.

The room available is on the 3rd floor and extremely spacious. It can easily fit a double bed, desk, unit of drawers, wardrobe, and extra shelving. The bed and curtains are mine but I’m happy to sell to the next tenant. Some of the furniture in the photos belongs to the house/previous tenants and will also stay free of charge.

You’ll be living with Caroline (27), Joe (28) and Aman (35). Joe is a TV producer and is usually quite busy, but always up for a chat when he's around. Aman is an artist and part-time architect and philosophy MA student, who works from home part of the time, and loves long philosophical discussions over tea or wine. You’ll see his lovely art all over the house! Caroline is a lawyer who moonlights as a singer-songwriter and has recently developed a passion for learning the art of Muay Thai at the local kickboxing gym.

We all come from different backgrounds and have different (though occasionally overlapping) interests, and we value that diversity so we would love to have someone join the house who adds variety. However, we are looking for somebody who shares our values of open and respectful communication. We enjoy the occasional house dinner or movie night, and are open to socialising and becoming friends beyond the serendipitous run-in in the kitchen, but there's no pressure in that regard.

About the area: the house is a few steps away from Chatsworth Road and Lower Clapton Road; a 15-minute walk to both Homerton and Hackney Central; and a 20-minute walk to London Fields and Victoria Park. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, local gems like the Castle Cinema, etc. Also, we are 10 minutes away from Hackney Marshes if you feel like a long walk, run, cycle or picnic.

The details:
The room is £924 pcm for June and £960 pcm thereafter plus bills, which average around £140 a month (including fortnightly cleaner). Council Tax Band E.

We'd like to find a new tenant starting from June 8th as I am moving in with my girlfriend the first week of June. Our landlady requires photo ID and details of prior landlord for references.
