Room Available in Queer Flat Share – Clapton

1 room available in a friendly flat share in Upper Clapton. The room is available from 4th May until 31st August as a sublet (agreed with the agency), with the possibility of joining the contract from September if the tenancy is renewed.

Rent: £876 per month
Bills: approx. £100 per month (usually cheaper in summer)

To secure the room, I would ask for the first and last month of the sublet upfront. No deposit is required for the sublet, but if you join the contract from September, referencing will take place in August and a deposit will likely be required then.

As part of the sublet arrangement, I will need to provide the agency with a copy of your passport and right-to-rent documents.

The Room

The room is on the first floor. Most of the furniture belongs to me and I’m happy to discuss leaving most of it in the room for free if helpful.

You would share the bathroom/shower with Chano only (they have their own toilet downstairs).

The Flat

The flat has three toilets. The living room and kitchen are downstairs, with access to a large balcony that has stairs leading directly to the street (which we often use as the main entrance). There is also a second balcony, shared with Mollie.

The Household

You would be living with:

Mollie (she/her) – works full-time at Retro Bar (a queer bar in Charing Cross).
Chano (they/them) – a freelance creative and DJ.

This is a queer household, and we would strongly prefer a queer flatmate. We are social and enjoy occasional low-key gatherings, but it’s not a party flat.

• 5 min walk to buses going through Dalston and Shoreditch
• The canal is at the end of the street, with a lovely walk towards Victoria Park

• Balcony entrance (8 steps up from street level)
• Main building entrance with lift, accessed via two key-fob doors
