I have a spacious double room in Colliers Wood available in a lovely 2-bed flat on the 1st floor of an apartment block with a balcony. The room itself has a large window and looks onto a leafy cul-de-sac and stream. The room includes a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table/desk and plenty of storage space.
The flat also has an open plan kitchen, living room and dining area. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and most other kitchen equipment you would need. There is one large bathroom. There is also a communal roof terrace which is accessed from the 1st floor.
The location is super convenient - less than 10 minutes walk to Colliers Wood tube station (Zone 3, Northern Line) and Morden Road (Tram) and very close to Wimbledon, Tooting etc. Transport to Central London is great and we're close enough to the end of the Northern line that you normally get a seat.
There is a Nuffield Health practically next door and other gyms in the vicinity. There is a wide choice of supermarkets with a Sainsbury's, M&S, Aldi and Lidl all within 2-5 mins walk. In addition to this, you can 'shop local' or enjoy a meal at the historic Merton Abbey Mills which is down the road and take a scenic walk through Morden Hall Park (National Trust) or Wandle Park. Fingers crossed you won't need it (unless you work there!) but St. George's Hospital is also close by.
You will be sharing with one other flatmate - I work at a City law firm but have been home working since March last year. I have a desk in my room so the kitchen/living area is kept as a work-free space. I'm clean, tidy, friendly and I love to bake. In my pre-COVID life I would be out three or four times a week seeing friends but I also enjoy a quiet night in watching TV with a glass of wine.
Bills are £150 pcm (covers council tax, electricity, water, wifi and TV licence) so £850 all in.
