En-Suite Double, Rent Reduced For Childcare

I’m a friendly single mum with two children (2 and 6) looking for a responsible, warm and reliable lodger to join our home in SW19 (Wimbledon area).

The room is a bright, fully furnished en-suite bedroom in a family house with a garden. All bills are included (utilities, council tax, Wi-Fi).

This arrangement would suit someone who works or studies locally and is happy to provide regular childcare support in exchange for reduced rent.

The Room:

* Plenty of storage

* Excellent transport links and local amenities nearby

Childcare Requirement:

In exchange for the reduced rent, I’m looking for help with:

* School & nursery drop-off and pick-up (nearby)
* Two mornings per week: approx. **7–9am
* Two evenings per week: approx. 5.30–7.30pm

The role mainly involves helping the children get ready, walking them to/from school or nursery, light supervision and settling them in the evenings.

Additional Babysitting:

* I’m happy to pay separately for any ad-hoc babysitting, evenings out, and school holiday childcare if required — completely optional and paid on top.

About You

* Kind, reliable and enjoys being around children
* Previous childcare experience preferred (au pair, nanny, teaching assistant, etc.)
* Non-smoker
* References required

Rent

Rent will be significantly reduced to reflect the regular childcare provided (exact amount negotiable depending on experience and availability).
