Description

My housemate is moving in with his girlfriend, so I am on a quest to find another wonderful person to share our lovely flat with!

What is on offer
You will be living in a bright, spacious, and homely two bedroom/two bathroom flat in Colliers Wood, a 10-15 min walk from Colliers Wood Tube Station (Zone 3, Northern Line) and on the doorstep of the beautiful Morden Hall Park. Wimbledon Town Centre (Zone 3, District Line) is easily accessible by bus or on foot (about 30 minutes). It is a truly lovely area – green and quiet – with lots of amenities: four large supermarkets, a massive TK Maxx, Boots / pharmacy, Clarks, Dunelm, a post office, and a few gyms. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance, and our local pub overlooks the River Wandle (and serves £16 fish & chips!).
The room is available from Sunday 24 May, but we are flexible and happy to discuss an alternative move-in date.

Finances (per person)
The property is managed by a surprisingly efficient agency which will conduct reference checks. Please note that a minimum salary of £30,000 per annum is required to pass their financial eligibility checks.
The rent is £925 per month, in addition to the bills that are: £90 Council Tax (Band D); ~£23 water; £25-£50 gas and electricity; and £18.5 Internet and TV licence.

About your house mate (= me)
I am a female professional in my early (ish) 30s working in international partnership management in higher education at a top university in London. I like my job which takes me to weird and wonderful places, from Kenya to Kuwait (maybe not right now), but I also have a variety of interests outside of work, some more exciting than others. I volunteer with horses at a local riding school and ride regularly; I enjoy running and Pilates, cooking, reading, and occasional needlework; I used to dance salsa / bachata, and I would love to take you to my favourite jazz club that plays Latin jazz on Friday nights. I subscribe to coffee, red wine, and New Internationalist. All of this is to say that if you are at least mildly interest in finding out more about Bosnian wine, public transport in Egypt, or how badly I will regret my first ever Pilates retreat in Morocco, I strongly encourage you to drop me a message!

About you
I would love to share my home with another young woman in full-time employment who is tidy and quiet (at least sometimes); who is interested in getting to know her house mate (= me); and who understands the concept of paying bills on time. Ideally, you would be looking for a long-term let. If you are a mature part-time student, you are welcome to reach out too. And you will get extra points if you have a hoover and love a good old murder mystery!
