Description
Lease takeover through 31 July with option to renew!
Hello! I am looking to find someone to takeover the lease for my absolutely lovely 1 bedroom flat in Covent Garden / Seven Dials. Unfortunately I have to move back to the States, otherwise I would have happily stayed here for many years to come. This place is truly a gem and I'm sad to be leaving.
I'll go into more detail but the highlights are:
- Recently renovated
- First floor (just the one flight of stairs)
- Tons of light, very nice finishes
- CLOSET SPACE (seems rare these days)
- Unusually quiet for Central London
- Fully furnished
Okay, for some more detail: This place is perfect for one person or a couple who want to live in Central London. Maybe you work nearby, maybe you come here often for trips, or maybe you're just a big fan of theatre and need to be walking distance from every West End show. Whatever it is, the location of this 1 bedroom cannot be beat. 2 minutes walking to Covent Garden, 5 minutes to Leicester Square, a quick jaunt to Holborn or Bloomsbury or wherever you want to go.
The main room has high ceilings and gets tons of natural light. There are closets/cabinets built right into the wall. You'll see in the photos that I use one as an entertainment centre to hide the TV when I'm not using it. There is a nice dining table with four chairs, and a 1 year old sofa that pulls out into a large bed (comfortable fits two) for visiting guests. The sofa has hidden storage in the bottom as well for more linens, pillows, whatever you want. The floors were redone two years ago and are a light coloured wood that adds to the brightness.
The kitchen is also lovely, plenty of counter space, tons of cabinets (I don't even use them all), a washer/dryer for your clothes, insanely quick-heating induction hob, plus it comes with plates and glasses and all of that so you don't have to worry if you haven't any of your own. (If you do, you can store these in one of the cabinets as they belong to the property).
The bedroom is small but again, more closet space! You have shelves as well for your books and plenty of outlets for phone chargers etc.
The bathroom is also very nice with a basin style sink, large shower rain style and detachable showered, and the whole space has nice finishes.
The flat is fully electric so no gas bill to worry about. The landlord is in the process of replacing all the lights as well (will be done well before Jan)
Rental logistics:
As this is a lease takeover, this flat is available from 1 Jan to 31 July. The landlord is very open to signing for another year afterwards if you want to stay longer! You'll need to pass the standard income verification / do referencing for the landlord's management company. I will say I have heard horror stories about management companies in London but I have had ZERO problems with these folks. They're friendly and communicative and helpful. Also it's not a big corporate landlord, the owner actually has a flat in the building though she is rarely in the city these days.
Council tax band D, Camden
Fun things nearby:
There is a pub next door called The Cross Keys. Very neighbourhood feel to it, never gets too rowdy and shuts at around 1030 and with little else on the street open at night, nights are VERY quiet here. Across the street is a cafe/restaurant called Baudry Greene that's relatively new but incredible. They also own Ten Cases wine bar and Parsons seafood restaurant, all within walking distance. Really great food and perfect to bring friends, dates, visitors. Also, one street behind the flat there is a coffee shop called Neal Street Espresso, about a one minute walk. Lots of seating and very friendly staff. Coffee is great. Also within very short walking distance (<5 minutes) there is a Boots, Tesco Express, Pret, Costa, Off Licence, tube stop (Covent Garden), Apple Store, and more.
Please feel free to contact me with questions or to set up a time to take a look. Also happy to send more photos or do video walkthroughs.
