Description
We are looking for someone to take over a double, en-suite room in our awesome household near Crossharbour, Isle of Dogs. Sadly, one of us has to relocate abroad, thus we are looking for someone new to join us. Move-in date can be negotiated to an earlier one, if needed.
The apartment is fairly large (~1100 ft2), with a spacious living room, dining room and a renovated kitchen. The place is fully furnished, with ample storage space, both inside the house and outside. There is a balcony overlooking the Thames towards the O2.
The room itself is 140 ft2, not including the bathroom, and it comes fully furnished (double bed, nightstands and a large wardrobe). The standing desk and the chair are from the previous tenant and can be purchased, if desired. The bathroom has a toilet, a sink and cabinet, and a shower cabin, with an electric boiler. It also has a very large mirror. The rent price is excluding utilities, amounting to ~£110/month (gas/electricity, council tax, internet and water).
The two remaining tenants are very friendly and mindful roommates. They are both young professionals (IT and Accounting), so someone in a similar situation would be a great match for this household. It is an ideal place for someone working around Canary Wharf or the City. In addition, the landlady is extremely friendly and supportive and the agency is very easy to talk to (another reason to love the place).
There is a DLR station (Crossharbour) within 10mins walking, and a bus stop towards Canary Wharf and Central London just outside the complex. Going to Zone 1 is a fairly quick trip, due to the proximity of the house to Elizabeth and Jubilee lines. The apartment is located inside a residential complex, by the river on the east side of the Isle of Dogs. It’s very quiet and is walking distance from all the amenities someone might need, such as:
- Nisa Local (4 mins)
- Asda Superstore (8 mins)
- Pubs (~10 mins)
- Mudchute Park & Farm (15 mins)
- Canary Wharf & Greenwich (25 mins)
