Description
Hey future flatmate(s)!
I’m Rachel, I live here and I’m looking for someone who would like to take the stunning double ensuite bedroom that will be available from November 1st. A couple are leaving the flat so need another couple to fill the room.
The flat itself is super spacious with lots of natural light, real wooden floors throughout, three bathrooms (2x ensuite, 1x in hallway), furnished, and a modern kitchen. It’s part of a modern block of serviced apartments with a communal roof terrace. It’s right in the heart of Crouch End (voted 2023’s best London neighbourhood to live in by The Times!!), with the W7 bus taking you to Finsbury Park tube station (Victoria & Piccadilly lines) in 5-10 minutes and the Northern line is close by too at Archway or Highgate. Crouch End is a total haven; plenty of independent shops and restaurants, four gyms to choose from, a lido, and Queen’s Wood and Ally Pally nearby for some therapeutic green space/dog watching.
The bedroom is spacious with big windows taking up one wall and a little window ledge where your plants can soak up the natural light. It comes with a large modern wardrobe and set of drawers but there is no bed so you would need to buy/bring one. There is also a huge wardrobe the length of the hallway so there is more than enough storage space. The ensuite is ridiculously bougie, renovated with brand new tiles and suite last year so it’s super clean and shiny, with a double walk-in shower and separate bath.
A bit about me:
I’m originally from Belfast in Northern Ireland but I moved over here to start my first postdoctoral research position at Oxford (in the field of women's pain). When I have spare time I love to try new restaurants, galleries and exhibitions, gigs,, charity shopping, going to markets, pub quizzes, hanging out with friends, etc etc. Would be nice to have flatmates who would like to do things together sometimes but no pressure!
Who I’m looking for:
A couple (or one person) who are friendly, respectful, clean and who bring good vibes to the place. Ideally professionals who are focused on their work and wouldn’t be having mad parties Mon-Fri, but I’m all for weekend get-togethers or dinner parties at the flat. LGBTQ+ friendly only please :-). Ideally also animal lovers as I mind some cute dogs very occasionally.
I would love to hear about you and what you’re looking for in a flat share. Unfortunately there is no room for negotiation on the price as we are tied into a contract and this is the remainder of the rent that needs to be made up. Total monthly bills are usually: £42 (water), £14 (TV licence), council tax (£225), BT internet (£34), gas and electric (paid quarterly, in winter this has worked out at £30 ish per month). So, split between three people, £150 ish, or between two people, £184 per month.
Ps. deposit is £2000 (5 weeks' rent) but Spare Room wouldn't let me input this for some reason...
Please fire me a message if you want more info or want to come and have a look! x
