Double Room in bright 2 Bed Crouch End flat

After 3 years of living here together, my flatmate has decided to move out to be closer to his job in South London. I have confirmation from the landlord that I can stay for another year, so I'm looking for a new flatmate.

The flat:
The flat is a 2 bedroom, one bathroom flat with a separate kitchen/living area in a quiet residential street in Crouch End. The kitchen and bathroom were refitted just before we moved in so everything is brand new. We're on the first floor of a lovely Victorian terraced house and the neighbours in the flats above and below are very friendly and helpful.

The area:
Crouch End is beautiful, with lots of great independent restaurants, pubs, and bakeries. There are also plenty of green spaces around - the Parkland Walk, Highgate/Queens Wood, Ally Pally, Waterlow Park, the Heath.

Transport:
The closest tube stations are Finsbury Park (Victoria/Piccadilly lines), and Archway/Highgate (Northern) - each about a 20 minute walk away. There are buses (W3/W7) that run to Finsbury Park (6 stops) or the 41/W5 between Tottenham Hale and Archway (7 stops). Both Hornsey station (Great Northern line trains to Old Street/Moorgate in 16 minutes) and Crouch Hill (overground between Gospel Oak and Barking) are a 10-15 minute walk away.
The lack of tube station right next door does give the area a calm village feel, and I would say makes it very well suited to cycling - I work nearby Warren Street station and my commute is roughly 25 minutes on the bike.

About me:
I'm a 26 year old PhD student in my final year, my research focus is tissue engineering and bioprocessing. I am a keen badminton/tennis player, playing 2-3 times a week. I'm a keen cyclist and love a good day walk outside London. Also enjoy the occasional night out.
I'm ideally looking to live with someone with similar interests, who's settled in London and wants to share more than just a kitchen with me. I am gay so would love to share with another LGBT person, but not a requirement.
