Description
Hello!
I’m excited to find someone great to join me in a lovely flat on Milestone Road.
The flat:
It’s a lovely, spacious, light-filled flat - two bedrooms, two bathrooms. There’s a beautiful open-plan living room and kitchen that feels homely and relaxing.
It’s also amazingly quiet. You don’t hear anything above or below.
The room:
This is the master bedroom with an en suite. Light and spacious, it easily fits a desk.
The room comes furnished or unfurnished, whatever suits.
The ideal housemate:
I’ve lived in house shares for a decade. Over that time I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly. (Haven’t we all!?)
My best share house experiences have been with people who are caring, openminded, and easy going. Relationships based on a sense of fun, respect and open conversations. A good balance of time together and time to do your own thing.
A bit about me:
I’m Australian and I’ve been living in London for seven years.
I love reading, writing, and good conversations with close friends. I’m also a keen runner and recent convert to meditation.
I work in consumer insights.
The area:
Crystal Palace is very well connected to London: 20 minutes to London Bridge, 28 minutes to Victoria.
And it’s a hidden gem. Everything you need is within a 5 or 10 minute walk. Loads of great independent shops on ‘The Triangle’. A few of my personal favourites include: Four Burroughs (a wonderful, locally-owned coffee shop, 100m up the road), The Alma (a cosy, candle-lit pub), an Everyman Cinema, fishmonger, bakery, loads of great little restaurants (Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, to name a few). Beautiful views down to London and Kent.
Also within a 5-10 min walk include:
- A large Sainsbury’s
- Crystal Palace train station
- Crystal Palace Park
Crystal Palace was also voted by The Standard best place to live in London.
Rent, bills, tenancy:
Rent is £1030. Bills are £160 includes Broadband, Gas/Electricity, Water, Council Tax, TV license).
It would be joining the current lease in July 2024 for twelve months. There's flexibility to move in slightly early or later if needed.
In summary:
I’m keen to create a homely space with the right person. If any of this resonates, please do get in touch.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Sam
