Description
Hey everyone,
I am moving out of my wonderful room in Crystal Palace to go travelling for a bit and I am looking for someone to take my room from 13th/14th April - 19th August (approx 4 months), which will come to the end of the contract. From August there may be the possibility to sign another contract and stay on, but at this point there is no obligation.
About you
As a household of people in their thirties, we are looking for a working professional, preferably female, aged 27+, who is clean and tidy and wants to be part of a supportive friendly household and must be LGBTQ+ friendly.
The housemates
You would be sharing with two wonderful girlies both in their late twenties, early thirties. We all work in arts and entertainment world. One is a stage manager in theatre and the other has her own business and works a lot in events! We all get on very well and mix between spending time alone in our rooms or gathering together to watch a movie, going to the gym or dinner chats in the kitchen.
Dates
Move in date is either 13th or 14th April 2026 and the last day of the contract is 19th August 2026.
Location
We are on a very cute triangle on Fox Hill, 6-8 minute walk from Crystal Palace station, or a 15min walk from Anerley Station. Crystal Palace Park is also only a 6-8 min walk away, which also has a big sports centre. There’s a Pure Gym in Sydenham, which is a 30 min walk away through the park.
We are a 5 min walk away from the triangle which has loads of cute pubs, artisan coffees shop and boutiques. It’s very safe and very green and I absolutely love living here. CP is on the Windrush overground line and also has direct lines to Victoria, Clapham Junction and London Bridge. With it being the end of the line, you almost always get a seat!
The house
The house is a ground floor, 4 bedroom flat in large house comprised of 8 flats. The room itself is HUGE, along with a walk-in wardrobe, and an ensuite shower, with two sinks (cause why not). The room is the only bedroom on the top floor, with the other three rooms down the stairs. On your floor, you have the other shared areas, a big living room, huge kitchen and the upstairs toilet, which you basically have to yourself.
There is a large driveway and we are permitted to one parking space. There is also a private terrace on the ground floor that is lovely in the summer.
The room can come partly furnished, as I would ideally like to sell some furniture such as the bed frame, the ladder shelving, the desk and the white cabinet, as well as extra bathroom accessories that I bought for the room, We can talk in more detail about these.
The rent
The rent is £1100 per month excluding bills. Bills come to about £185 a month which includes gas, water, electricity, council tax, WiFi and a cleaner once a fortnight.
Furniture will be sold separately, ideally altogether in one flat fee. We can talk more details regarding this. An upfront payment of the first month is required.
