Description
Hi all!
We are looking for another professional to join our beautiful house-share in Dalston and take over a single fully-furnished bedroom in a 2-floor house with a huge garden.
Move-in date is flexible between Dec 1st and 15th.
The house is perfectly located:
- 5 min walk to Dalston Junction overground station;
- 7 min walk to Dalston Kingsland overground station;
- Easy commutes to Victoria, District, Jubilee, Elizabeth and DLR lines;
- 1 min walk to bus stops on routes 38 (Piccadilly), 242 (Shoreditch), 30 (Kings Cross), 56 (Barbican)
- 5 min walk to bus stops on routes 149 (London Bridge via Liverpool Street Station), 243 (Waterloo via Farringdon) and 76 (Waterloo via City)
- 10 mins walk to Haggerston, Hackney Downs (trains to Stansted Airport) and Stoke Newington;
- London Fields, Broadway Market, Shoreditch, Clissold Park, Columbia Road Flower Market, the City are all within a 20/25 min walking distance.
- The brand new Homerton Hospital is a 15 min walk.
Ideally suited for a professional who wants to live in a stylish home, with two nice and respectful housemates, in a safe, beautiful and very quiet neighbourhood, and at the same time to be in the middle of the East London vibe.
Your room is on the upper floor and it is equipped with a small double-bed, a wardrobe, mirrors and many shelves. Its window faces the quiet of our private garden.
On the same floor we have our main door, another bedroom, the large communal living-room (with a big couch/guest bed, a fireplace for cosy winter nights and a large chest for your own extra storage). On the same floor there is also our spacious and modern bathroom, with bath, shower and a window facing our private garden.
On the ground floor we have the third bedroom, a dining room with more shelves and cupboards, a large storage room containing all our household appliances and suitcases, and the large and fully-equipped American-style kitchen, with direct access to the garden.
Our house is equipped with security alarm system, independent Hive heating technology (controlled via app), Philips Hue lighting system, superfast G-Network fibre connection 600/300Mbps, Sonos sound system (used mindfully!).
Your room is the smallest in the house (accordingly, you also pay the smallest rent). It won't fit a proper working desk, so if you have the need for one, you can set up a corner in the living room or downstairs. On the other hand, we are sure that the large size of the house, of all the other communal spaces and especially the garden, will totally compensate.
The monthly rent is £850. Bills (council tax, gas & electricity, water, internet, cleaning lady fortnightly) are approx. £170/180pm. A deposit of £1050 is required to block the room once your application is confirmed by the landlord.
There are currently two other people living in the house: Fil, a photographer, and Ivan, a software engineer. We are both from Italy. We are tidy, quiet, friendly, easy-going, caring and respectful of each other’s needs, timing and space. We like to keep our rooms and house clean, tidy and nice and expect the same from our new housemate. In the evening we may enjoy having a chat while cooking dinner, then we usually chill-out in our rooms; sometimes, we like to catch up in the living room for a glass of fine spirit and a chat, or for reading a book, especially in the winter with the fireplace on.
From time to time we may invite few friends over for small dinners, and in summer we like to take advantage of the garden and organise BBQ parties, once or twice a month. On weekdays we don't generally do late hours: we go to bed around midnight and wake up around 8:30am.
We are currently working a day or two per week from home, so ideally our best fit logistically is someone who would mainly work out of home during the week, so that we don't cram the house on working daytime.
Visiting guests are welcome to stay over for a few nights (mindfully; if any special need or request occurs, we discuss it beforehand, taking care that we are all on the same page); at night-time guests are welcome to use the living room as their bedroom, since the couch turns into a very comfortable single bed.
We are looking for a friendly, quiet, tidy, easy-going, responsible and respectful housemate, someone who cares to keep clean after himself/herself, who puts things back where they belong after use, who shares a similar lifestyle to ours and is happy with these general guidelines; someone who is willing to take care actively of our beautiful home and garden with us.
Ideally our best fit would be a non-smoking female professional, 32-45 years old.
This ad is not meant for couples. Also, although we love animals, unfortunately we cannot host pets.
The house has some great benefits (see photos):
- great location (lots of independent cafes, bakeries, restaurants, pubs, bars, shops, supermarkets, cinemas, music and dance venues in the area);
- big house on 2 floors, renovated, high-quality of the premises and appliances;
- quiet and safe area
- dishwasher, double fridge, washing machine, electric oven, microwave and tumble dryer;
- huge garden (12x40m) with palm and fig trees, bamboo, BBQ, dinner tables, chairs, sun-beds, veggie garden (in spring and summer);
- big communal living room with large windows, lots of light, fireplace, armchairs and a large couch (suitable for occasional guests);
- spacious fully-furnished American-style kitchen;
- modern bathroom with great shower, bath tub and a window facing the private garden;
- fibre WiFi 600/300Mbps, Hive remote heating control, Philips Hue lighting system, Sonos sound;
- it doesn't feel like being in central London, yet we are in zone 2;
- lovely Italian housemates who incidentally love cooking!
If all this sounds nice to you, then send us a message and we will be happy to fix a viewing and show you around.
Looking forward to meeting you.
