Description
One double room available in large, friendly house
*Summary*
1 double room, furnished, available from the 5th October. Rent is £975/month (works out at £225/week) all included.
Room has standard double bed, desk, clothes rack and drawers. This room overlooks the rear garden and is south facing so gets a lot of sunlight (when the sun shines!)
All inclusive (inc broadband, Netflix, Prime TV). One month/4 weeks rent in advance plus a deposit of £1000 is required to move in. Deposit will be returned at the end of the rental period.
The house has a large living area, large kitchen, bathroom with bath & shower, second toilet, and a small garden at rear.
*Accessibility*
The house is on 4 levels so there are stairs up to the bedrooms and down to the kitchen. Parking is available on the street with vouchers; any long term parking will need a permit from the council.
*Area*
House is situated just off Kingsland Road. It’s a quiet, friendly street but all the hedonistic delights of Dalston - shops, bars, restaurants and the fab Rio Cinema… are minutes away. There’s a pleasant little green at one end of the street and plenty of nice parks within walking distance. Quick and easy transport links into central London – Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction Overground stations are both a 10 min walk away and buses into London run throughout the day from the bottom of the street. Great connections for Liverpool St, Kings X, Euston…
*Housemates and Occupants*
You'd be living with me, another housemate, and a cat
I'm 53 (he/him), work various jobs but mostly from home as a PA. I’m a keen cyclist and amateur plant dad.
Other housemate (48, she/her) is a professional comedian and activist. She often travels for work and we both work a lot from home, but are pretty chill and respectful of our home being both a work space and a sanctuary.
Then there’s Sidney (cat/cat) who’s approx 14, very friendly and fond of belly rubs. He spends most of his days sleeping but will hassle you loudly for kibbles.
Ideal new housemate would be young professionals but we are open and flexible. Singles only really considered for the room because three sharing the house is about the maximum number comfort-wise (we've had more and it doesn't work, sorry). LGBT+ friendly. Cat lovers especially welcome.
So if you’re looking for a friendly, warm, welcoming house full of plants, cats and laughter, are happy to chat and be social or retire to separate rooms when you need your own space, then get in touch.
