Description
I am moving out of my gorgeous room in January and am looking for someone to sign a new year long contract with my best friend and flat mate, Grace.
A bit about the flat:
First floor flat, super high ceilings, carpet and cork flooring, two bedrooms (one of which occupied by Grace as mentioned above), a spacious kitchen with a small dining table, living room with a three seater sofa and two smaller arm chairs and a small but perfectly functioning bathroom (with bath)
Bills are around £148 a month, council tax band c plus gas, electricity, water and internet.
This flat is a calm, cosy haven, perfect to come back from the busy London days and nights to relax in. We are both creatives and take great pride in the look of the space.
The location alone makes this flat a dream, smack bang between buzzy Dalston high street and calm Newington Green. Princess May car boot at the top end of the road and The Army and Navy pub at the bottom, with a 5 minute walk to Jolene for a coffee and a croissant.
The room is ideal for someone who loves natural light, with two huge wooden sash windows that get sun pretty much all day as they are south facing. The bed is a little bigger than a double but I don’t think it’s quite a king size, and very comfy. In terms of storage, there is a built in shelving cupboard and in the other alcove I have installed a three tier rail system behind a curtain - I’m happy to leave this in, but once the property is vacated eventually it will need to be removed. As a girl with a lot of clothes storage was a must, and I love it to all be hidden away.
For things that aren’t wardrobe based we also have an attic, half filled with the landlords things, but they are also fine with us using it for storage and we have made very good use of this. An amazing feature that is very rare in a London flat!
The kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared and have everything you need. The water pressure is great, the radiators are pretty new and the hob is gas.
A little about Grace, your would be roommate:
She’s great to live with. Kind, friendly, chatty, very funny, laid back and just generally brilliant to hang out with. Her working days are long, usually out of the house 9ish and home late most week nights. Then at weekends a mix of being around and the occasional weekend away.
Most important criteria for a prospective new flat mate would be:
Kind, easy going, tidy, respectful, looking for a new place to settle in and call home.
Please let me know if you think you’d be a good fit :)
