Double room in big house share

We have a large double room available for one person in a big but peaceful houseshare.

We're lucky to rent a large and beautiful Victorian house and garden close to London Fields and Dalston Kingsland. Our landlords are friendly, and in return for an unusually affordable rent we take considerate care of the house as our home. Us current housemates all moved in this year, and we've been on a mission to spruce up the shared spaces. We're looking for a similarly minded new housemate who will join us in lovingly and creatively feathering our big nest.

The room is on the ground floor, overlooking a fairly quiet residential street (bar the soundtrack of bootlegged lime bikes, and gospel services from the church opposite). It's been newly renovated (a carpet to be fitted this weekend), and could come with a double mattress/bed if needed.

The house has three floors and we share two bathrooms (one shower, one bath/shower), a kitchen, and a big living room that leads out to a patio and very large garden. We have a bbq and a firepit, and shed for garden tools. There's an abundance of apples, plums and grapes in the summer, and we hope to get growing veg by next year.

We like to think we're an easygoing bunch, and although we often share meals and host dinner parties/gatherings, it isn't a big party house. We don't have a TV and like it that way. We've become good friends but also lead separate busy lives (working in food/community health/therapy/arts).
