The Room & Flat
Looking for a lovely new flatmate to join me in my spacious 2 bed - 1 bath flat in the heart of Dalston. The location is peaceful and quiet —perfect for winding down after a busy day.
The flat is calm and airy with super high ceilings and a large patio out front where I’ve been flexing my green fingers. It’s part-furnished, as my outgoing housemate will be taking a few items. I’m currently on the hunt for some new pieces, which means there’s an opportunity for you to make your mark !
The room up for grabs is huge, bright, and unfurnished other than a small built-in wardrobe. Plenty of room for a large bed, WFH set up and even a sofa ! It’s a double-aspect room, so it gets plenty of natural light throughout the day.
Like many others, this isn’t a party flat—but I am looking to host a bit more, so someone who’s also up for occasional dinners or gatherings would be a big plus. The building has a lovely sense of community, with friendly neighbours. There are often casual get-togethers organised by some residents, which gives the place a really warm vibe.
👋 A Bit About Me
I’m a female architect in my thirties, originally from Manchester (always happy to give design tips!) My interests include design, interiors, fashion, food, pub/bar/restaurant trips, and warm company. I take a monthly ikebana workshop, so you can expect fresh flower arrangements around the flat. I’m sociable, chilled, and considerate. Keen to make our home feel welcoming and beautiful—and I’d love for you to feel the same !
During the week, I’m pretty low-key—I usually cook and relax at home, though I’m occasionally out in the evenings after work. I work mostly from the office (it’s nearby), but I might work from home now and then, depending on my schedule.
🙌 Who I’m Looking For
Ideally, you’re a professional in your 30s (no couples, sorry!) —warm, kind, considerate, communicative and emotionally mature. Someone who enjoys a balance of quiet nights in but is also up for the occasional dinner or hang. You’re someone who’s keen to make the flat feel like a home and bring a warm, lovely energy to the space.
There isn’t a cleaner, so being tidy and proactive with cleaning is a non-negotiable but happy to introduce one. Ideally, you work from the office at least part of the week.
Other
Deposit is 5 weeks rent. Bills is around £150ish depending on season. This includes gas, electric, council tax, internet.
Water is paid along with the rent to the management company which is a flat fee. There is car parking in front of the building if you have a car, just need to contact the agent to get a spot.
I’m planning to hold viewings over the next two weeks so if you can indicate when you are available for a viewing that would be helpful :)
There is 1.5 months left on the current contract which will require a name change fee of £50.
If the above sounds like your vibe drop me a message and i look forward to meeting you !
