Description
The flat:
This is a penthouse in a cool period building, repurposed to a high standard from a nightclub in 2005. Its known history dates back to the 1950s when it was the Regency Club - a dining club run by the infamous Kray Twins who ran the East End. These days it a collection of beautiful, light filled flats (and this is definitely the best of the lot!).
The flat itself is fully furnished throughout, with high end furniture in the lounge, a cool retro kitchen and a relaxing bathroom with a shower and bath for when you need a soak.
The bedroom is very spacious with more than enough room if you are a hybrid worker and need room for a desk. It comes part furnished with a double bed and wardrobe, with scope to discuss with the landlord about providing remaining furniture or the option for you to self-furnish.
The council tax band is Hackney band D.
About me:
I'm Jordan, 30 y. o. doctor from New Zealand. I've been living in London for just over 2 years and work in healthcare by London Bridge (so will be working in the office Monday to Friday 8-5).
Outside of work, I love to cook (and try out new places), love anything creative (music, art, design), and keeping active.
What I'm looking for in a flatmate:
I'm looking for another young professional around a similar age, preferably queer (or queer-friendly), who values a calm and respectful home environment, and values keeping our spaces clean and tidy. I'd love a flatmate who enjoys socialising but also respects each other's need for downtime. It's always a bonus if we share similar interests, but equally someone who is just as comfortable having a chill night in.
If you're looking for a place that feels like home rather than just a place to sleep, I'd love to hear from you!
The area:
This is an exceptional area if you are looking for the buzz of Hackney life, with Stoke Newington, Dalston, Clapton and London Fields on your doorstep. There's tonnes of local green spaces nearby for when you need to venture out. You won't have to walk far for great coffee, food or places to grab a drink. Transport wise, there are great overground and bus connections that will link you speedily up with the rest of London.
