Description
Hi! Thanks for taking a look at my advert.
I’m looking for a new flatmate to move into my home in Stoke Newington from 7 November 2026.
I’ve lived here for the past three years and have really made it feel like home. I’m hoping to find someone who’s looking for the same—not just somewhere to live, but somewhere that feels welcoming, relaxed and enjoyable to come back to.
The flat is a bright, modern and fully furnished split-level maisonette with two double bedrooms, a bathroom plus a second WC, a balcony and a small private courtyard. The available room is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes.
Transport links are great, with Dalston Overground around a 10-minute walk away and buses right outside that take you into Central London. There’s also secure bike storage and on-street parking available with a permit.

About me
I’m 36 and work as a Customer Service Manager, splitting my week between working from home (three days) and the office (two days). I’m gay and looking to share my home with someone who’s comfortable in an LGBTQ+ household.
I’m a positive, easy-going person who enjoys a good laugh and doesn’t take life too seriously. I love creating a home that’s welcoming, relaxed and somewhere people genuinely enjoy coming back to after a busy day. I’m always up for a laugh, whether that’s over dinner, a spontaneous trip to the pub or just putting the world to rights after work.
I’m quite active and social, but also appreciate downtime. Outside of work I’m usually:
* 💪 At the gym (weight training 4–5 times a week)
* 🚶 Out walking
* 🏃 Running or outdoor swimming
* 🍳 Cooking
* 🥾 Hiking and travelling
* 🍽️ Exploring London’s restaurants, cafés and bars
* 👥 Seeing friends
Weekdays are fairly chilled, while weekends are usually spent seeing friends, going out or heading away for a short trip.
I enjoy having friends over occasionally, and from time to time friends visiting from overseas may stay for a few nights. I’ll always give you plenty of notice. I’ll also host the occasional small gathering or BBQ, but this definitely isn’t a party flat.
My partner is moving out due to a change in circumstances, but we’re still together and he’ll stay over a couple of nights most weeks, so I wanted to mention that from the outset.
I’m clean, respectful and easy to live with, and I really value open, honest communication.

Who I’m looking for
I’m looking for someone who wants a home rather than just a place to stay.
Ideally you’ll be:
* Comfortable living in an LGBTQ+ household
* Friendly, positive and easy to get on with
* Clean and considerate
* Honest and communicative
* Working full-time
* Independent, with your own life and plans
I’d love to live with someone who becomes a friend as well as a flatmate. It would be great to occasionally cook together, watch a series, go for a drink, explore London or head out together, while still respecting each other’s space and independence.
I think we’d be a great match if you enjoy getting out and about, seeing friends, travelling or heading away some weekends, and enjoy coming home to a relaxed, friendly environment.

Bills: Approximately £230 per month
Deposit: £1,427.50
Available: 7 November 2026
Minimum tenancy: 6 months+
Applicants will need to be in full-time employment.
I’m the current lead tenant, so I’ll arrange viewings and meet potential flatmates first to make sure we’re a good fit. Once we’ve both decided we’d like to live together, I’ll introduce you to the landlord, who’ll carry out the usual referencing and Right to Rent checks before we sign a new tenancy agreement together.
I’m in no rush to fill the room—finding the right person is much more important than filling it quickly.
If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a message telling me a bit about yourself, your lifestyle, what you’re looking for in a home and what you enjoy doing. If it sounds like we’d be a good fit, we can arrange a viewing and a chat.
