The Room & Flat
Looking for a lovely new flatmate to join me in my spacious 2 bed - 1 bath flat in Dalston. The location is peaceful and quiet - perfect for winding down after a busy day and not far away from the action if you want to venture out.
The room up for grabs is huge, bright room. Comes unfurnished but includes a small built-in wardrobe. Plenty of room for a large bed, WFH set up and even a sofa ! It’s a double-aspect room, so it gets plenty of natural light throughout the day. Room has its own entrance for added privacy and convenience.
The flat is calm and airy with super high ceilings and a large patio out front where I’ve been flexing my green fingers. Communal areas are furnished by myself and i'm hoping to keep adding to make the space feel chic and homey.
Like many others, this isn’t a party flat - but I am up for occasional dinners or gatherings. The building has a lovely sense of community, with friendly neighbours. There are often casual get-togethers organised by some residents, which gives the place a really warm vibe.
👋 A Bit About Me
I’m a female architect in my thirties, originally from Manchester (happy to give design tips!) My interests include design, interiors, fashion, food, pub/bar/restaurant trips. I take a monthly ikebana workshop, so you can expect fresh flower arrangements around the flat. I’m sociable, chilled, and considerate.
During the week, I’m pretty low-key - I cook most evenings and generally relax at home, though I’m occasionally out in the evenings after work. I work mostly from the office, but I might work from home now and then, depending on my schedule.
🙌 Who I’m Looking For
Ideally, you’re a professional in your 30’s (no couples, sorry!) - Someone who enjoys a balance of quiet nights in but is also up for the occasional dinner, chat and hangs. You’re someone who’s keen to make the flat feel like a home and bring a warm, lovely energy to the space.
There isn’t a cleaner, so being tidy and proactive with cleaning is a non-negotiable but happy to arrange a cleaner if thats what you'd like.
Other
Deposit is 5 weeks rent. Bills jump around £150-200ish max. depending on season. This includes gas, electric, council tax, internet.
Water is paid along with the rent to the management company which is a flat fee. There is car parking in front of the building if you have a car which can be arranged with agent for a fee.
Just a heads-up that there may or may not be a rent increase on the horizon. I was expecting to have heard from the estate agents by now, but they're taking their time! As it's a possibility, please do factor this into your decision when considering the room.
I’m planning to hold viewings asap so if you can indicate when you are available for a viewing that would be helpful :)
If the above sounds like your vibe drop me a message and we can chat more! Look forward to meeting you !
