Description
Please be aware I will be holding viewings from 5-7th July.
Large en-suite double bedroom available from 1st August in my bright, open-plan flat in Dalston Square. Bills are around £200 per month.
The flat will be sharing with me - I’m a 30 year old civil servant originally from south London. I have a bit of a split personality, I have my wholesome side that loves cooking, swimming, gardening, and reading - but equally love a night out.
I have lived in the flat for three years now, and very much see it as my home. The flat came unfurnished so everything is now owned by me, but it is completely kitted out with everything you could dream of - including cooking equipment, a TV, and a sofa bed for guests. The flat also has a massive balcony running down the whole length of the kitchen/living room area, with the sunset setting on that side for when the weather is nice to sit outside. Views of the BT tower included!
In the room being advertised, it is originally unfurnished, however my current flatmate (who is leaving as she is moving to Australia) has said that she would be happy to sell some of her furniture (specifically the bed, desk and mattress).
You can see the back exit of Dalston Junction overground from the flat, an approx 2-3 minute walk. Great for commuting with easy connections to the Victoria line (Highbury & Islington), and District/Circle/Elizabeth lines (Whitechapel).
Living in Dalston Square comes with lots of amenities, including a completely free (!) residents gym, concierge, and bike/car parking. The area has everything you need - supermarkets including Aldi/Sainsbury’s/M&S/Tesco/Co-Op all within a five minute walk.
Dalston itself is really buzzy, with lots of bars, restaurants, and clubs on our door step, as well as green spaces including the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden (where I volunteer), London Fields (a ten minute walk, which also has a great lido), and Victoria Park. Lovely walks along the Regent’s Canal also nearby.
What I’m looking for in a flatmate:
1. Clean - I am a bit OCD with how I keep things so the flatmate needs to be tidy and willing to take turns with chores (bins, floors etc) every week.
2. Respectful - As mentioned everything in the flat is owned by me, so the flatmate needs be considerate. The flat is also open plan, so that respect also goes for giving a heads up/pre-agreeing any plans with each other that are going to use the communal flat space.
3. Sociable - Ideally I would love a flatmate who I get on well with, and is up for occasionally doing things together like exploring the local area (my google want to go list is long!) or having a cosy movie night in. But, that equally has their own separate social life like me.
4. Similar life stage - I’m looking for a professional in their late 20s-early 30s.
If you think you’d be a good fit, please reach out over message and tell me a bit about you! 😊
