Description

Hey! We are looking for a new flatmate to join our De Beauvoir home as our current flatmate is moving in with her partner.

The house is a spacious maisonette spread over two floors, with a large living room and dining space. We have all the amenities you'd expect to find including a washing machine & tumble drier, gas hob. Your room comes fully furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and a wardrobe.

There is also a lovely terrace garden, with plenty of light, a veggie/flower patch, bench and barbeque. It is perfect for chilling or having people over in the summer time.

The house is in a quiet area, but is a stones-throw from busy Dalston/Shoreditch (so best of both worlds!). We have plenty of green space nearby - with London Fields and Victoria Park within walking distance. We are also 2 minutes from Regents Canal - which will take you to both parks or up towards Islington/Angel.

We also have some great pubs and restaurants nearby (including with outdoor spaces to get you to 21 June!!).

Our nearest station is Haggerston (5 min walk away), but we are also close to Dalston Junction and Kingsland (10-15 min walk), Hoxton (15 min walk), and Old Street (20 min walk) - so we are very well connected.

We are a couple - Kath (28) and Mark (30). Mark is a brand strategist for a design agency and I'm finishing a web development course (and applying to jobs in this area), and I also teach yoga. Although we are a couple still have our separate lives/friends, and are keen to make sure any new housemate feels at home.

We both enjoy living in London and all it has to offer (outside of lockdown) pubs, galleries, restaurants, bars, and the occasional party/night out/festival. Kath is a veggie and enjoys cooking, fitness and yoga. Mark enjoys running, gardening and going to the pub.

We are looking for someone who is relatively tidy, who will treat the house as a home, and hopefully enjoy the occasional dinner/ glass of wine / chat. However we are also very respectful of personal space and independence.

We are the live-in landlords (so there is no letting agents to deal with). Rent is £800 pcm, and bills on top are shared between the three of us and usually come to about £100 each depending on the season.

We are ideally looking for six months minimum on the contract, but short lets are considered in exchange for an increased rate.

We are looking for someone from the end of May, though we can be flexible for the right housemate.

Couples not considered, and although we love pets, Buster doesn’t get along well with other cats/dogs so no pets I'm afraid.
