Description

Looking for a lovely single person as a new flat-mate. (Sorry no-couples).

**Pictures of your bedroom in current set up (as study/spareroom. But dble bed available if you don’t have your own) **

The flat is a lovely modern apartment on 6th floor, with a very bright light-filled shared dual aspect living-room and fully equipped kitchen, with all the usuals (dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge-freezer etc), and a newly renovated bathroom, and a sun trap of a balcony, with great views across London, both towards City and long horizontal blue space /sunset scapes. The flat is located directly opposite a park (with tennis courts, astro turf pitches, green spaces).

Your room, is a large double bedroom, part furnished, with a very large double wardrobe, chest of drawers and work-desk. The room gets the sunlight in the morning and faces onto the side-road. Pictures are as the room is currently (used as a spare room), double bed available, if you don't have your own furniture. Sofabed will be removed when you move in.

All bills are included (including Council Tax) and my lovely cleaner who comes every Saturday for 2 hours - which just makes for a happy and easy home.

De Beauvoir is a lovely neighbourhood, nestled between the City, Shoreditch, Islington and Haggerston, with everything all these spots offer. On our street are great pubs and cafes, including the award winning De Beauvoir Deli, and their Cafe opposite. There are two great local food stores, with organic food, fresh meat, veg, and any store cupboard ingredient you might think of, plus there is a Tesco's and dry-cleaners next door. The area is located by Regents Canal, good for walks to Victoria Park, and for eating at the lovely Towpath cafe, or the other spots enroute.

Transport: the flat is brilliantly located and frankly easy to get to almost anywhere from the City, Canary Wharf, Liverpool Street, London Bridge, or East. Buses 141, 21, 76 all go via the City (10-15 mins), onto London Bridge or Waterloo (via St Pauls and Fleet St) and are every few minutes. Buses connect you to every tube line from Old Street (Northern), Moorgate (Elisabeth, Hamm & City, Circle) or Bank (for the Central -line). There is a secure bike-shed and cycle routes. Haggerston overground is a 10-minute walk.

A little bit about me, grew up in London and lucky enough to have a strong network of family and friends here, who I see very regularly. I work in peacebuilding so have had the privilege to live and work across the globe, which I think makes me a fairly easy-going person. I'm caring and sociable and interested in others. Every Sunday morning, I'm off rowing. Like most folk, I'm out one- two nights in the week and hopefully at least one night each weekend.

You: I'm looking for a flatmate and not a lodger, someone who wants to share a home, ideally aged 35+, just because of life-styles, I am looking for 'professionals' preferably, ideally who works most, or at least half their time from their office and someone who is single, only because the flat isn't big enough to be sharing with a couple. My last flatmate is someone I found here, and we lived happily together as friends for 5 years, before she moved to Singapore. I still count her as a good friend.
I’m in no real rush, finding the right flat mate is most important.

Other stuff: there is no parking.

If you're interested pls send me a quick email about yourself (age, working arrangement, interests etc) I won't be able to reply to everyone (sorry).

My plan is to have open days' when people can see the flat and sit down for a quick chat and cup of tea/coffee.

Pls message me if you want more info and I'll keep updating the advert.

Please remember the photographs of the bedroom are with the bedroom set up as a spareroom (study / occasional room for when friends stay over), but hopefully gives you a sense of the size of the room. Previous flat mate had a kings size double bed.
