Hi!
I’m looking for a new flatmate (or low-maintenance couple) to join me in my home overlooking Regents Canal between De Beaviour Town & Haggerston.
The flat is a modern space with a cosy feel right on the canal, and honestly, the balcony is a great spot for a coffee or a wine. Generally in pretty good condition, Landlord is very responsive and in the last year a new oven, washing machine & dishwasher has been fitted. Kitchen is a decent enough size with a small dining area and a shared living space. I would say, this wouldn't suit anyone that is working from home more than a day or two a week, just due to space and natural light. Naturally the flat runs hot, so the heat is rarely used, bills tend to hit about £170-180 approximately.
The room is a bright double with its own ensuite, so you’ve got your own private space. It also has built-in wardrobe storage and direct access onto the balcony. There's a few other storage spots throughout the flat as well, but I would say there's not lots of space to store big items. The room is furnished with a bed & matress, and there is space for other small furniture if you have it.
We’re in a great spot right on the Regent’s Canal. It’s a short walk to Broadway Market, Victoria Park, and all the great pubs and coffee shops around Haggerston and Dalston - too many to even name. Transport-wise, you’ve got the Overground nearby and plenty of buses into the City, as well as access to the northern or victoria lines about a 15/20 minute walk.
I’m a 35-year-old guy working in design. I’ve lived here for a few years now and really love the vibe of the neighborhood. I’m usually in the office 3 or 4 days a week and travel every now and again for work. I’ve got a busy social life and plenty going on, but I’m very much into keeping the flat a clean, tidy, and chilled-out space. I’m easy-going and friendly, and I’m looking for someone similar—someone considerate who respects the shared spaces.
