Double Room Ensuite in De Beauvoir

Hello potential new flatmate!

My current flatmate is moving out to live with his girlfriend, so I’m searching for someone to move into our lovely two-bed, two-bath apartment in De Beauvoir. Available from 2 October (with some flexibility on the date).

The Room & Apartment

It’s a good-sized double bedroom with a built-in wardrobe, space for a desk, and its own ensuite.
The apartment is big and open-plan, with heaps of space for separate living, dining, and kitchen areas. The kitchen is fully equipped (though bonus points if you have a coffee machine). We get lots of natural light, including during winter, and have a very sunny balcony overlooking Regent’s Canal.
The bedroom is fully furnished, and most of the furniture in the main living space will also stay, so it’s ready for you to move straight into.

The Location

The apartment is in the best part of De Beauvoir, right near Rosemary Gardens and only a few mins from Wholefoods, De Beauvoir Deli, and De Beauvoir Arms. We’re literally on the canal, with easy access to Broadway Market, London Fields, and Victoria Park in one direction, and Angel in the other.
There’s a bus stop right outside the building with links to the City, London Bridge, and Waterloo. The closest Overground is Haggerston (10 min walk / 3 min bike), and the closest Underground is Old Street (20 min walk / 5 min bike). It’s very convenient for biking around East London and into the City, if that’s your commute.

Living with me!

I’m 32, originally from Australia, and moved overseas about seven years ago. I’ve been in London for three years and have spent the last two in this apartment, which I’ve really grown to love and think of as home.
I’m looking for someone with a similar vibe and lifestyle to me, so ideally a working professional who has a good balance between home and life outside it. I’d love to live with someone who is friendly and up for hanging out, while also having their own life, and who cares about making the flat a nice place to live.
