Garden-view room in family home near Denmark Hill

Beautiful room to rent in a family home with a lot of outdoor space. The room is light and spacious (with a double bed, desk, wardrobe, 2 windows...) and looks out on the beautiful communal gardens. The windows are double-glazed. The room would suit someone who can appreciate the context of a family home.

You will mainly share the house with me, 4 children (ages 5, 7, 10, and 14). I am a lecturer in Political Ecology and Environmental Justice at one of the London Universities. We are vegetarians, but don't expect you to be vegetarian. The kids' father works abroad and will be around for about one-third of the time.

If you work shifts (e. g., at the nearby King's College Hospital), it might be useful to know that the house is quiet from 7 pm to 7 am and 9 am to 5 pm during school weeks. However, it is slightly more lively from 7.15 am to 8.30 am and from 5 till 7 pm in the afternoon/early evening.

Next to your private bedroom, you can access a shared kitchen and two shared bathrooms (one with a toilet and washbasin and one with a toilet, washbasin, and bath/shower). The neighbourhood is very leafy, safe, and quiet, yet it is also very close to bustling Camberwell, Peckham, and Brixton.

The all-in price, including (water, council tax, electricity, internet, gas ...) is 790 pounds.

We consider short-term lets for a higher rent.
