Description
Hi! We’re looking for someone to join our lovely flat from 8th Feb as our housemate is moving out to go travelling. Rent is currently £725 and bills come to around £150 a month.
HOUSEMATES
You’ll be joining Ellie (28) a freelance photographer, and Becky (29) works in book marketing. We’re looking for someone friendly and fun who enjoys hanging out in the flat and sharing meals/TV shows, but also has their own stuff going on like us. We’re not a party flat (we have elderly neighbours) but enjoy going out to explore the local pubs and hosting friends for BBQs on the roof or dinner parties.
Outside of the pub, some things we love are live music, cooking and baking, community gardening, chatting about books, and Ellie has a (very cool) knit club you’d be more than welcome to join! 🧶🌿📚
This flat is very much a home and we’d love to find another housemate who takes care of it and meets that energy. We also have a weekly cleaning rota, and like to keep things clean in general so are looking for someone to match this vibe too.
THE FLAT
Our flat is a gorgeous two-storey Victorian conversion on a peaceful residential road. We have a sunny rooftop terrace where Ellie grows veg + herbs, a huge living room ft lots of plants and a TV (Netflix, Disney + and Amazon Prime included in bills), and a nice fully equipped kitchen overlooking private gardens.
THE ROOM
The room is on the top floor, looking over the garden so is super quiet and cosy. It comes with a double bed and storage including a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. There’s room for a desk and chair too (although ideally you’ll be hybrid working/office based during most of the week).
LOCATION
The flat is surrounded by greenery with a private garden (accessible with a key) just behind us, and Ruskin Park a 10 minute walk away. We’re a bus ride away from Oval and Vauxhall tube stations, and a 10-minute walk from Denmark Hill station with trains to Victoria, Kings Cross and the Overground, or East Dulwich to London Bridge.
We’re on a nice quiet road, but it’s just a 10-15 minute walk from Camberwell High Street, Rye Lane in Peckham and Lordship Lane in East Dulwich, with loads of cafes, pubs and shops on offer. We're also less than 10 mins from Big Sainsbury's (!) and close to other supermarkets.
PETS
Important to note that we have a (very friendly) cat called Roland, so please beware if you have allergies! Mega bonus if you’re willing to help look after him on occasion.
