Description
I'm a 43-year-old professional lecturing in Art, Design, and Theatre at a London university. I live in a spacious one-bedroom flat in the peaceful area of Champion Hill, Camberwell, and I'm looking for a flatmate to share the space. I have a well-behaved 5.5-year-old daughter who lives with me 50% of the time, so you must be comfortable with having a child in the household.
I enjoy a good drink now and then, so I'm hoping to find someone who appreciates a relaxed environment where socialising is welcome, but it's not a party household. Having friends over is excellent, and I love meeting new people; however, I also value my private moments and enjoy spending time by myself at times.
I'm active and make it a point to hit the gym regularly, as well as cycle to work. My creative side keeps me busy as an artist conducting research in my field. I'm looking for someone who shares similar interests and is tidy, as we would share cleaning responsibilities (though if you prefer, we could look into hiring a cleaner). If this sounds like a good fit for you, I'd love to discuss it further.
Offered unfurnished, but with one double bed, one chest of drawers, and curtains.
Rent of £1025 per calendar month, excluding utilities and council tax (around £210 each). Minimum 1 year tenancy.
Main features:
Two double bedrooms
One bathroom, separate WC
Private Balcony
Garden
Residents parking
Unfurnished
Bills Exclusive
Close to public transport and amenities
Application Process
References will be required, along with a security deposit.
A rare opportunity to rent a spacious bedroom in a peaceful 1st floor two double-bedroom flat in a lovely Arts and Crafts house. Located on leafy Champion Hill, the flat features a splendid wood-panelled living room with its own roomy, south-facing balcony. Characterful kitchen, modern bathroom and separate WC. Gas central heating and double glazing.
The windows are original, wood-framed and leaded, complementing the original Art Deco (non-working) fireplaces in the bedrooms, living room and kitchen.
The flat also has sole access to its own 120ft "secret garden", including a shed for bikes and general storage.
Transport-wise, Denmark Hill and East Dulwich stations are both just minutes away, and bus routes 40, 42, 68, 176, 185, 468, and 484 pass by the end of the road. Shopping includes a large Sainsbury's on the doorstep, and Lordship Lane's shops and eateries are a short walk away, as is King's College Hospital.
