Double room in great Deptford flat

I’m looking for a new housemate to join me from 30 June onwards in this really great modern split-level two-double-bedroom flat on Deptford High Street

It’s a bright furnished flat, owned by a very friendly and approachable private landlord (they do exist!) who we deal with directly. Downstairs is the main kitchen/living area and a WC. The kitchen includes washer/dryer fancy fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and electric oven with gas hob. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower above the bath.

The bedroom that’s available is a part-furnished double room with bed, draws and clothing rails, with scope for further storage on shelves and under-bed. The room also has it’s own pretty sizeable south-facing balcony. There is room for more storage options elsewhere in the flat too.

The flat is close to transport links (as in actually close, not estate agent close). We’re across the road from Deptford station, and about 8 minutes walk from New Cross station, and 10 minutes walk from Deptford Bridge DLR station. All stations are Zone 2.

And it’s on Deptford High Street, with a huge arrange of shops and anything you could ever need from the market that occupies the street. There are also a great number of bars, coffee shops and restaurants on the High Street itself and in the Market Yard development across the road from the flat.

The flat also comes with me; I’ve been in London six years, work as a writer and editor for an arts venue and also write for a number of publications in my spare time. I enjoy reading, visiting exhibitions, watching comedy and sport. I try and play sociable sport once a week, and run when uninjured/not lazy. I have been described as “incredibly tidy” and “quite a whizz in the kitchen”, although the latter of those was by my departing housemate and he considers beans on toast a delicacy so…

I’m hoping to find a friendly, good-humoured, considerate flat-mate who whilst having their own interests will be happy to hang out once in a while (or more often).

Rent is £940 monthly including all bills. The deposit is £1,142.31. There are no other fees to pay.
