Description
We are Rhiannon and Rosie and we are looking for a new flatmate for our brilliant flat in Deptford! We have loved living here for the past 2 years and our tenancy is being renewed in November, so we are looking for someone to move in around the 15th November.
- Rent is £866 pcm
- Council Tax is Lewisham Council Band B and works out at roughly £44 pcm each.
- Total bills including Council Tax, energy, water, TV licence and Wifi is £120
- Our landlords are friendly and responsive
About the flat:
- The flat is located on a quiet estate with lots of greenery around.
- We have a separate bathroom and toilet (ideal for busy mornings!).
- Separate kitchen and dining/living space with two dining tables.
- Balcony which is a great space to have a drink, host a dinner and gardening in the summer.
- We have a TV (licence fee included in bills)
- Lots of storage space across the flat and room on the balcony to keep a bike if needed.
- The room can come furnished or unfurnished.
About the area:
- Deptford is a vibrant, arty and fun area with a great community feel and lots of great independent bars, restaurants, cafes and shops.
- 10-15 mins walk to Deptford station which is 7 mins direct to London Bridge and 20 mins to St Pancras.
- 20 mins walk to Canada Water tube station on the Jubilee Line
- 15 mins walk to New Cross and Surrey Quays overground for Windrush Line which runs at night (25 mins up to Dalston Junction).
- You can get direct trains down to the Kent coast (Margate, Herne Bay) from Deptford station!
- You can walk 5 mins to the Thames Path from the flat for beautiful river walks.
- We live 5 mins from possibly the best pub in London - the Dog and Bell - which hosts an annual Pickle Festival.
About us:
We are both 27 and friends from university. Both of us work in political advocacy roles around international development and culture. We enjoy cooking (predominantly veggie food) and have a vast array of spices in our kitchen! Rhiannon is originally from Manchester area and Rosie from Nottingham area. We both love getting out into the countryside, going to exhibitions and markets in London, and going to gigs big and small. Rhiannon enjoys (amateur) vinyl DJing and women's football and Rosie enjoys yoga and pottery.
In the flat, we often end up watching TV together after a long day and we love getting into the latest silly dating shows. It is a social flat but we also enjoy our own space and have our own social lives as well as hanging out together. We tend to work mostly from the office or our bedrooms and we are open to someone who works from home as there is enough space in the flat for all of us to do so if needed. One thing that we particularly enjoy is hosting the occasional elaborate 12-person dinner party together, inviting an eclectic mix of people - we would love our new flatmate to get involved!
About you:
We both work jobs which can be quite stressful during the week and so are looking for someone who has a similar 9-5 type schedule and wants a chill vibe after work. We would love to live with someone who will enjoy our wonderful flat and help us in keeping it clean and tidy. As it is an all-female flat currently we would prefer a female flatmate between 25 - 34 years old but we are open to enquiries from others! We are an LGBT friendly home (Rhiannon is queer).
We are open to doing viewings on:
24th September, 26th September, 10, 11, 12, and 13th October.
