Description

Pleasant room available (from mid-March 2026) for weekday rental, three minutes walk from Zone 2 rail station. Ideally Monday to Thursday, but open to discussion. Room has been newly redecorated. £550 per month for four nights per week. Bills included (gas, electricity, water, council tax, broadband, TV licence).

The room is a little over 10 square metres, with a queen-sized double bed (120cm wide), desk with storage drawers, bookshelves, mirror and a built-in cupboard with hanging space. There is a large radiator with a thermostatic valve. The room and storage is for the exclusive use of the weekday renter.

The large south-facing sash window has a light-blocking roller blind, and looks out over our quiet street at the local primary school rebuilt in 2010.

The room is on the first floor of a Victorian end-of-terrace house, in the St John’s Conservation Area, Deptford, SE8, and is currently home to a recently retired, but very active, couple and two cats.

The weekday renter will have shared use of the bathroom / toilet, a separate toilet on the lower ground floor, the kitchen (with own cupboard and a shelf in the fridge plus freezer space) and the garden.

The transport links are very good. St John’s rail station (Zone 2) is 200 metres away (3 minute walk), with trains to London Bridge (about 8 minutes) and London Cannon Street (about 13 minutes). Also nearby are the Elverson Road and Deptford Bridge DLR stations and the rail stations at Deptford, New Cross and Brockley, which are each about 15 to 20 minutes walk away, providing access to mainline trains including the Thameslink service, as well as the Windrush overground line. Nearby bus routes include the 436, 21, 484, 53 and others.

We are looking for an individual who will appreciate a conveniently located room in a calm and pleasant environment to stay in for their nights in London.
