3. About Us
1. About the Flat:
A 3-bed, 2nd floor flat with a large lounge, wooden floors and period features, high ceilings and big windows, in a pretty, sun-drenched 1930s block overlooking allotments. We also have a balcony with lots of plants.
The kitchen is compact but light and sunny. The lounge/dining room looks out onto a communal garden.
The flat was fully refurbished a few years ago with all new appliances, including a dishwasher. (And 5G!)
The WC and bathroom are shared but handily separated so that there won't be a queue.
There is no TV in the living room (and no plans to get one!). We do have a projector for watching films.
We also have secure bike storage.
The block has a real sense of community with a mix of residents from families, to students, to people who have lived here for over 30 years. We know a lot of our neighbours. Although it's in an estate block, it's a well-established block with very little noise - seriously, very quiet.
Great transport connections nearby: approx 5 minutes walk to Deptford Bridge DLR, 10 mins to Deptford and New Cross rail stations and 15 minutes to New Cross Gate. There are a ton of buses nearby. You can get from here to London Bridge in under 20 minutes.
Deptford High St was recently named London's most alive street in TimeOut!
Close to Deptford Village, New Cross, Greenwich, Blackheath, and Brockley. Plenty of amenities, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, galleries and pubs nearby too. And near to the Thames and other green spaces.
2. About the Room:
Bright and sunny double furnished room.
It's super sunny (sunlight streams in the afternoon) thanks to a large window south-west facing window, and overlooks allotment gardens (we're on the waiting list). It's 10 x 12 - and has a small built-in wardrobe and desk space.
3. About who you'll be living with:
Michelle: Canadian living in London for 19 years now. I'm a theatre artist & producer. Loves - films; theatre; literature; Canada; running; pretty much all music; dancing; adventures; walking around London or in the countryside; wild swimming; camping; hiking; sitting in with a book, a blanket, and a cup of tea; or talking rubbish with good friends. I own the flat.
Nick: British sound designer/writer/actor and writer, originally from Surrey. Loves films, theatre. A gentle guy with a quirky sense of humour.
If you are interested, drop me a line. Please include some information about yourself!
Happy to show you the place around in person or on Skype/Zoom/whatever platform is your jam!
