Description

Hello!
I’m looking for a friendly female housemate to move into my cosy and modern home in Ealing.

The room:
A spacious and airy en-suite double room with lots of natural light and its own private entrance and bathroom, including a shower.
It comes furnished with a double bed and mattress, bedside table, wardrobe, and a cosy rattan chair. You can add more furniture if you like - there's plenty of room for more!
The ensuite has a shower, toilet, sink, and lots of storage space. There is also a huge built in storage cupboard in the bathroom.
You've also got lovely views of the front garden and cherry blossom tree!

The house:
Our living room is very large and newly furnished, and the kitchen has ample storage and all the cooking appliances you could need.
We also have a lovely flower filled back garden, and space out front to park a car if needed.
My bedroom and sisters room is upstairs and we have our own bathroom, so there's no need for a morning scramble to get to the shower first!
There is central heating throughout the house, and it stays a comfortable temperature all year round.
There's a big smart tv and dvd collection in the living room, and we have subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney plus, so there's always plenty of good tv to watch.
Great virgin broadband with super fast fibre 350 mbps WiFi, if you need to work from home.

About myself::
I'm Mona, and have lived here for over 5 years. My sister Shadi is the landlord, but she lives in Australia now, so we take on the landlady responsibilities together, and I can help you with anything you need. I am 33, working as an architectural designer in central London, but can work from home a couple days a week if I want, but at the moment I only tend to work from home on Tuesdays and I’m out most of the time. I am obsessed with plants, and volunteer at Kew Gardens on the weekend. My parents are both Iranian, but I was born and raised in Ealing, so know the area very well! I've been vegan for over 7 years and trying my best to be as sustainable as possible, but I never judge anyone, and totally respect other people's desire to eat what they please (my whole family and all my best friends are omnivores!) I love to cook wholesome fresh food and I’m trying to grow some more of my own fruit, veg and herbs in the garden.

Ideal housemate:
Single Female only, no couples. Ideally I want to live with a friendly professional/student who I will feel comfortable around and who will enjoy living with me too. I am always very considerate and take responsibility to clean up after myself, so I’d like to live with someone who’s the same, as I like the kitchen to remain clean and tidy. I’m open to splitting the cost of getting a cleaner to do deeper cleans if you’d prefer this.

Transport links:
Ealing Broadway and West Ealing are the closest train stations, and have the Elizabeth line so it’s very fast to get everywhere. There are numerous buses that go from the bus stop 2 minutes away, but I cycle or walk.

The location:
We are a 2 minute walk from Pitshanger Park and Scotch Common, Pitshanger Lane, and the Duke of Kent pub.
The area is really green and pretty, and our house is in the middle of a safe residential area and in a quiet cul-de-sac, so all you can hear in our garden is bird song!
It is also a semi-detached end of terrace house, your room doesn't join on to any walls but the hallway, so very private and peaceful.
Our neighbours are my parents in my childhood home, so we feel extra safe and my dad is a handyman, and great for fixing things. Our 2 very sweet dogs live with them, an 11 year old dachshund and a 2 year old spaniel/pom mix, so my ideal housemate would also be an animal lover, who is kind and conscientious.

Bills:
Virgin Broadband, Council Tax (band F) and TVLicense are all included, the only additional bills would be Gas/Electric & Water, as they're affected by usage (there are smart meters)
Bills split 50/50 vary between £100-150 each housemate for gas/electric/water combined.

Contract start date flexibility:
My current housemate is looking to move in with her boyfriend. They haven’t found somewhere yet, but she’s given her notice and her last day is technically 1st August, but she will possibly move out sooner, around end of July. I may be able to allow you to start your contract a bit sooner or move your things in before your contract begins if she moves out earlier!
